Sixt isn't going to change the "expected rental price" on me, are they?!

I have never used this company for a rental, but I reserved a car this summer in California for 15 days. We are picking it up at the San Jose airport and dropping it off at LAX. I got a great deal when I reserved it in October, but I just noticed my reservation conformation lists the price as an "expected" price. When I go online and do a mock booking for my dates now, the price has more than tripled. So, with my reservation, I should still get the car at (or near) the price listed on my reservation, right? I understand if taxes change by a few dollars, but I don't want to show up and be asked to fork over an extra $800 or $900!! Thanks for your help.

Don't worry, you will be fine. I had a recent rental from SJC and the price invoiced was actually a few bucks lower than 'expected'.

Nope - they use "expected" mainly because it could move slightly if taxes change, or if you add additional services. Your rate should be locked in. Can't hurt to bring a printout of your confirmation, just in case, but I wouldn't worry about it.

If you booked on Sixt.com, you'll be fine. I've noticed a problem with some booking sites, especially in Europe (I think it was rentalcars.com) that was always cheaper than the rest because they didn't add required fees like location surcharge (if you're renting downtown)in their quote.

I've booked through Sixt's website and had no issue with them changing prices. You can actually save quite a bit by doing the advance pay option.
