Billed X 2 for same parking violation
In July, 2014 I parked in Schramberg, Germany with my Sixt rental car. When I returned to the car I had a violation notice on the window. I had not paid the 1euro fee. My bad, I missed the sign in my haste and, indeed, owed the fine.
On July 29 I paid via credit card to Sixt $33.61 (10euro fine plus Sixt admin fee).
Today, I received another bill from Sixt and they have charged the card $67.75 for the same parking violation at Schramberg. The parking violation now says 25euro plus admin fee = $67.75.
I sent e-mail to Sixt telling them the above and that I would not pay further. I called credit card to tell them to not pay (and was told to call back in a few days when the charge is posted as "permanent" (?) versus today's "temporary" posting (grumble, gripe, call back!!!))
Any suggestions as to how to proceed?

I'm sorry to hear that Policypeddler.
Please can you send me a private message with your reservation details and I'll be happy to look into this with the fines department in Germany for you.
Thanks ,Jess.

Sixt Customer Service was unable to help at all....said I had to pay both fines!
I gave the problem to Chase Ink Customer Service. They handled it quickly and easily.
I ended up paying the first fine, which I owed, and nothing more.
