In July, 2014 I parked in Schramberg, Germany with my Sixt rental car. When I returned to the car I had a violation notice on the window. I had not paid the 1euro fee. My bad, I missed the sign in my haste and, indeed, owed the fine.
On July 29 I paid via credit card to Sixt $33.61 (10euro fine plus Sixt admin fee).
Today, I received another bill from Sixt and they have charged the card $67.75 for the same parking violation at Schramberg. The parking violation now says 25euro plus admin fee = $67.75.
I sent e-mail to Sixt telling them the above and that I would not pay further. I called credit card to tell them to not pay (and was told to call back in a few days when the charge is posted as "permanent" (?) versus today's "temporary" posting (grumble, gripe, call back!!!))
Any suggestions as to how to proceed?
