Our Sixt reservation # is 1738254076, Oct. 5- Oct. 21, at GVA, French sector. We would like to add me as an additional driver, appears the price online is around $1.69 U.S per day. I do not see a way to add this online. Can I get added at the airport, and will it cost more than adding me online?

September 18 in Florence, my friends and I booked a car in the office Sixt:

It had to be a car of "C", the date of rent from 19/09 to 23/09. Take the car we were in Florence and give the car we had in Mestre (Venice). Car rental cost 374.84 euros.

We have done so. Only at the time of renting a car in the garage Sixt was not necessary car and we were provided with a car of a higher class. A woman in the office told us that the price will not change.

We left the car in the parking Sixt near the train station in Mestre morning of September 23. Sixt office was closed. And we left the keys and documents of the car at the parking security guard. He said that the way it should do.

When we returned to Russia, we found that the amount deducted from the card:
Retail ITA FIUMICINO RM AUTONOLEGGIO SIXT 19.09 800,00 €
Retail ITA FIUMICINO AUTONOLEGGIO SIXT 19.09 374,84 €

We passed a car with a full tank, damage was not. Mileage was about 700 km.

Why do we pay another 800 euros???

That is likely a deposit that will go away in a few days.

Hi all!

First time in this sub forum!

My question is: I am looking at hiring a car from the Munich Schwabing branch, and the Glücksauto category is available (basically lucky-dip). It is listed as CCCC Limo. In the info panel it states it has 2 doors, 4 seats etc. So, will it definitely have a minimum of 4 seats, or could it be anything from their inventory (only things with fewer than 4 seats are Peugeot RCZ and Smarts)?

It is minimal cost over a Polo, so as long as we'll at least get 4 seats, it seems like a great choice!

First rental, so any advice and experience is welcome! ^

The vehicles will range from Economy to full size. All minimum 4 seats.

Hi,

We do take an approval on the credit card at the start of the hire, this is a security to ensure that funds are available to pay for any non reserved extras, such as missing fuel, extra days, damage excess etc.

The fact that the transaction was on the first day of the rental suggests that this will be the explanation that fits your query. Please let me know if you still have any concerns and I will contact Sixt Italy on your behalf.

Hi Gary

It was booked through sixt.de for the Munich Schwabing branch. It only showed up on sixt.de, not .co.uk or others, and only some branches on some dates.

How do I add the Iberia Plus airmiles number into my planned reservation during online booking on Sixt.co.uk?
I have a Sixt Express card but can't find any 'entry' point in there either. :confused:

Change of Return Location
 
Hi Gary,

I will like to change the return location of my rental (Reservation No. 4238845523) from the Munich MINI-Olympiapark to the Munich Stachus (City) station (returning time :1030 hrs) with the date remaining the same. When I tried to do it online, the rental rate will increase by 60 euros or so. Is it possible to make this change without incurring the extra cost?

And my current rental is a PTMR (Merc SLK or similar), with a request put in for auto transmission. What are my chances of getting an auto car? As my partner is only allowed to drive automatic cars, she will miss out on the fun of driving in Germany if we are stuck with a manual one.

I'll take a look, the cost increase may be unavoidable. I will let you know what the branch have in PTMR and likelihood of an Auto.

I have checked with the Branch Manager and he is pretty sure you'll drive away in an Auto, the price increase for the change in branch is not avoidable.
