Hi hate2flyluv2travel, first of all, welcome to FT!
When you mean which island, do u mean within Singapore or around the region...
Within Singapore, there is of course Sentosa, which is the one of the main tourist attractions in Singapore... There is the underwater world, the beaches, bars for people watching along Tanjong Beach, erm, the Butterfly Park, wax museum etc etc. Go to www.sentosa.com.sg
Then there is Pulau Ubin, which is at the north-eastern park, which is probably the last bit of rural Singapore, with dirt tracks, rural "kampungs" (villages), abandoned quarries. Even the ferries to Pulau Ubin from Changi are old-ish bumboats, very different from mainland Singapore.... Two websites for your reference

Between Ubin and Sentosa, I will definitely choose Ubin...
Outside of Singapore, there are quite a few islands, Bintan and Batam belonging to Indonesia, though about 1hr ferry from Singapore, and then other further islands include Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia, where you are better flying off to, rather than take a ferry. Oh, there is also Tioman island.

Well, as a resident here I haven't had occasion to try the card. In case you haven't done so, you should visit the official site for the card. If you enter the site and click on 'Places to Go' you'll see a list of all the discounts and promotions offered.
Singapore likes to treat tourists well and would hate to leave visitors with a bad impression, so I think the card may be a good idea, if the places listed on the website appeal to you.

Sentosa, Singapore (Shangri-La) (by far the easiest to get to)
Bintan, Indonesia (one of the Bintan Resorts) is this place worth it?
Penang, Malaysia (Shangri-La) most expensive option, but looks the best.
Any advice? Thanks

studio76 - I assume you've checked with some travel agents for packages?
It's quite a long transfer up from Penang airport to the hotels on the North coast, so you might want to factor that in with it being such a short trip.
If you're thinking about next weekend, do bear in mind that Monday 1st is a public holiday in Singapore, so Sentosa will be mobbed (and may explain why flights are busy too).
