Can you get a data SIM at the airport around midnight?

So that you have a connection to use the Uber app.? I imagine airport would have Wifi but they're usually very slow and of course there are security concerns about public wifi.

Or does anyone know if Singapore is included in the free data roaming with T-Mobile?

US T-Mobile free international data worked for me on my last trip to Singapore.

Google Fi also works for folks who have that.

Depending on the number people, I now take UberPool or GrabShare. Both are incredibly good value.

Otherwise, Uber or Grab for more than 2 people.

Is Grab reliable?

I checked out the Grab Taxi app. Looks like you can pay either cash or credit.

I would avoid dealing cash with taxi (and anywhere else) if possible. The whole idea to having uber/grab was to go cashless.

Uber until recently had a promo from Changi to anywhere to Singapore just for $10 but they stopped, don't know if they still reinstated the promo.

Grab is quite reliable and usually the same price as Uber but their deals require you to top up digital wallet which I am not inclined to do, while uber promos can be applied directly.

Agreed avoid cash where you can, with respect to cabs.
