CGK turnaround on SQ
Can I check with you experienced SQ flyers especially if you have arrived/transited CGK. I tried to research my question online but found no information, so I'm trying the SQ flyers. Long story short, I want to check out the new SQ First class lounge/private room at SIN but I don't have any trips planned this summer, so I decided to do a quick CGK turn.
I'm planning to redeem a SQ First class ticket SIN CGK arriving CGK at 1805. I was planning to overnight then return on SQ the next morning. But now I see that the flight I arrive on returns to SIN at 1900.
My question is, I would love to take the return flight at 1900 but it gives me less than an hour transit time. Anyone know if this is doable?
Do they have separate arrival/departure levels, or do they only have one level and arriving/departing passengers "mix" like at SIN? If this is the case, do you think it would be allowed to just exit the plane then sit at the gate area and jump back on the plane?
I know this sounds a bit nutty but I'm anxious to check out the lounge and return to flying again. Any info is much appreciated! Thanks

I have done this albeit pre-COVID. Get out of the plane quickly and there is an obscure transit immigration area where they will check your passport and you have to show your next boarding pass (I had this on my SingaporeAir app). You then have to go through the x-ray with your hand luggage and then you get back to the departures area.
Walk quickly.

Yes, as Singapore_Air mentioned it is possible.
Since you are flying F, you could also request SQ for ground escort for this turnaround. I have not done this at CGK. But i have requested twice at AMD and works well for turnaround.
You won't be able to linger by the gate as you are directed to arrival.
SQ has 3 F daily flight ex-CGK, first flight at 5am i believe with current simplified schedule.

Thankfully the Japanese airlines are very good with their airport maps. You will proceed to immigration as if you are arriving but on the way you will see the International Transit Counter which will be on the right and is generally manned by only one or two people. This is when you will show the onward boarding pass and your passport.

Thanks everyone for all the info!

Just as an interesting sidenote, I also sent a request to a company at CGK that offers arrival, departure and transit assistance at the airport to get a quote for their transit service.
His first reply was a price quote and he also told me I needed a "visa on arrival" to connect to the SQ flight back to Singapore. I replied to him telling him I wasn't planning to enter the country just transit and go gate to gate. l just got another message from him and thought you might be interested............
Dear Sir
Thank you for your email
On your case is you need to go out to arrival and and get in for departure , you need to buy Visa On Arrival
International transit not yet open , the normal route will apply for you
Thank you and kind regards
So I guess he's saying that the "transit immigration counter" is closed. That sounds a little weird, so I guess that means that everyone transiting CGK now has to go thru the regular arrival immigration procedure, clear customs then reenter the airport to board their connecting flight.
I guess that means an overnight for me.

On my recent flight to Jakarta there where many passengers on transit to other parts of Indo and from what I remember they all had to get a visa on arrival. I remember a large group scrambling for time to get their connecting flight but the security/immigration officers didn't let them skip the line

His point to me seems to be that the "international transit" counter is closed so everyone needs to do the VOA, etc etc.
just seems odd that they would close the transit counter and now you have to formally enter the country then transit.
But like you said, his info might not be correct. Thanks

Transiting to other parts of India? Huh? Perhaps you mean Indonesia. There is also a big difference between exiting the country, and a domestic transfer. I flew into CGK less than 2 months ago. Some countries may require a VOA, some don’t. I’ve had Indonesian residency for quite a few years, so haven’t had to mess with VOA lines for quite awhile.

Just tried to phone the SQ airport office on +62 21 5083 5922 to ask on this visa point / operation of the international transit counter but no one picked up....
