Why would SQ not put the new F on 15/16 and keep the old config on 1 & 2?? Every time I take 15/16 I am either alone in F or maybe 1 other pax while the HKG flight get full in F. I would think they would want MORE F seats on SQ 1 and 2 while less F seats on 15/16

SQ 1/2 gets the 77WN with 8F and no PEY with no plans (that we know of) to change. SQ 15/16 will eventually move to the 77WR, with PEY and only 4F.

Post NRT loses the B77WN

Singapore Airlines S16 Tokyo Narita Operation Changes as of 11NOV15

Looks like no more B77WN to NRT from March 2016 onwards. It's downgraded to a B772.

As per airlineroute.net:

Singapore Airlines has further revised planned operations for Singapore – Tokyo Narita route, in summer 2016 season. From 27MAR16, SQ638/637 service is now scheduled to be operated by Boeing 777-200ER, instead of -300ER.

Originally SQ planned A380 operation on SQ638/637 flight.

SQ012 SIN0925 – 1730NRT 388 D
SQ638 SIN2355 – 0800+1NRT 772 D

SQ637 NRT1110 – 1720SIN 772 D
SQ011 NRT2050 – 0300+1SIN 388 D

I called in and the krisflyer agent told me that they will refurbished B772ER with the new seats? Not sure if it's real. According to him, currently 2 have the new seats?

I think he must have meant "new seats" as in the 1-2-1 long-haul configuration, not the 77WN product specifically. I'm not aware of any 77E being refurbished with the 2013 products.

Yeah the B772s are to be replaced by the A359s, doubt they will spend more money on refitting them with new seats.

SQ1/2 is virtually always the 77WN with the 8-seat "new F" configuration.

Is there any way to tell from the Manage Booking seatmap? I'm on SQ2 in April 2016 and it shows a 777-300ER in the seatmap (with 8 seats) but it doesn't say "refitted".

If you are referring to post #161, I did read it (in fact I quoted it in my post). Notice the word "virtually" - I assume this means the new F is not always a given, which is why I asked if you can tell from the seatmap, which post #161 does not answer.

You cannot tell from the seat map: 77W and 77WN are identical layouts.

But I can tell you that the last rotation of SQ2/1 that was performed by a 77W was in mid-April; haven't missed with 77WNs since.

Uh -- spoke too soon. No sooner did I post this, but SWQ subbed SQ2 for SWW on the 11th (SWW swiped to cover SQ866/865 account SWK couldn't make it's normal turn).

Oh, well -- 8 months without a substitution isn't too shabby.
