BA1373 MAN-LHR Cancelled - Advice for connecting flight to HND
Due to fly this evening on BA1373, then BA7 LHR-HND in the morning.
1373 has been cancelled apparently due to adverse weather.
should be flying Business.
advice on what to do and what this means for our flight tomorrow.

For example There should be a ba1379 tomorrow which is due into t5 at 08:10 which would be ok for ba7 at 09:25 (unless the nighstopper gets cancelled northbound tonight)
You may also consider discussing with ba not flyjng man lhr, catch a train to london today and you can catch ba7 tomorrow.

OP: Is this all on one ticket? If so, does the app offer you an earlier departure from MAN today? Or you could phone up BA and ask for an earlier flight (space permitting).

BA1373 is MAN-LHR.
Does the app/website offer any rebooking alternatives? Assuming you are on one ticket of course? I can see economy seats available on the 06:55 from MAN in the morning which connects onto the BA7. Might be worth a call. Nothing available otherwise today.

I don't see any available business seats on any of the later BA or JAL services tomorrow, so if this was me I'd be calling BA and asking them to protect the BA7 flight tomorrow and telling them you'll get a train to London tonight (sort out any reimbursements after). It's only 2 ish hours on the train...

Yes sorry MAN-LHR
All one booking as a reward flight - one way.
Early flight isnt really an option from MAN wed require accommodation there as couldnt arrive at the airport early enough by public transport.
First time flying Business and was looking forward to enjoying a lounge this evening and tomorrow (yes I know it wouldve only been Escape).
Now on a train to Euston.
What are our options compensation wise?

Forget about compensation for now.
If you haven't already called BA and told them to protect your LHR-HND BA7 flight tomorrow and advising them you'll be making your own way to Heathrow, you need to do that as soon as you can. Otherwise that sector might be cancelled.

I asked the initial question here whilst on hold to them as I wasnt sure how long theyd take.
Will they cover incidental costs?

Spoken with them. Theyve removed the MAN-LHR element and weve checked in for BA7. I stressed several times that I didnt want to lose that flight by taking matters into my own hands.

i can't see compensation is in anyway due here - the reason for the cancellation is out of scope, there is no rebooked MAN-LHR flight, and no delayed arrival at the destination.

yes, claim back your train costs - assuming they are not giving you a partial refund for MAN-LHR.

At least the train ticket wont cost us (them?) too much - wife is a driver!
