Capital One Lounge at IAD
(Didn't find an existing thread, so starting this - mods please move if necessary).
In good news, looked yesterday 7/27 like it will be opening imminently - signs are affixed outside, and there was lots of activity including stocking of supplies that was visible through the glass doors. Lounge furniture & finishings also looked almost ready.

I was figuring it would open soon. I've got two trips to DC next month so I'll be happy to use it. Plus since I'm flying Southern Air Express it will actually be right near the H gates!

Preliminary discussion was here: Capital One to Open a lounge at IAD and DFW (updated Apr 2021) The value now is to see that this lounge was Annouced in February 2020, and looks as if it will open in the second half of 2023. This is a typical lead time for a new airport lounge.

I spoke to one of the employees at the capital one cafe in Georgetown today, for what its worth. They said they were most recently told late fall to open. I asked if there was any chance it might open in September she said almost guaranteed no.
Quite annoying as I have no other trips planned out of Dulles the rest of the year.
