med81 - I suggest you pick a venue and time then share that information on this thread and the other. It seems you have interested parties who want to join you, but you need to let them know what the plans are ... and soon. Enjoy.

Dinner Anyone?
When: Tuesday, June 24th {UPDATED}
Time: 7:00 pm
Where: TBD, Fairfax, VA (see below)
Who: GoingAway and who else?
It's been awhile since I've been in town for more than a couple of days running, but its looking like I'll be here for a week or two. Anyone interested in dinner out my way?
Venue Option 1: Minerva Indian Cuisine, 10364 Lee Hwy, Fairfax, VA
Venue Option 2: Bistro Pasargad, 11725 Lee Highway, Fairfax, VA
Disclaimer: I've never eaten at either of these places, but thanks to that useless UA 'choice' I do have a $25 restaurant.com certificates to use at either location (was hoping to just redeem one $50 one but that was not an option)

25th is problematic for me. I have a reception in DC that evening.
Never been to either of those restaurants, although I've seen Minerva.
I like Cee (Thai) 9901 Fairfax Blvd (near Fairfax HS, west of the Circle) if you're looking for Thai food in the 'burbs....

25th I'm in Boston.
Today, well, I'll check in here around 5 to see if a place has
been chosen. Unfortunately, I don't know the CCY area at all
and can't make an informed suggestion.
med81, sorry not to be more forthcoming, but I've been
in PEN and SFO since you started your thread.
gre, are you still in?

I should be available either the 24th or 25th. (I'll need to reschedule a haircut if the date's the 25th, but that shouldn't be difficult.)
I looked at Minerva's menu online (couldn't find Bistro Pasargad's) and it looks like there are plenty of options with which I'd be happy.

I will be at the Hamburger Hamlet bar in the Crystal City underground (accessible by Metro) at 6:30pm Wednesday evening, June 18. http://hamletrestaurants.com/index.php?q=happyhour.html
I hope to meet some flyertalk folks there.

I'm available for either evening... although I really don't like Indian food very much. Middle Eastern food is another story... yum!

Weds the 18th CCY
Guess what ... my computer changed the date properly, but I
didn't do it on my watch. I was still mentally over the date line
someplace. Anyhow, I'll be at the Hamlet Happy Hour at 6:30
(probably before!) tomorrow, bearing a black briefcase
with a FT tag (if I still have one).

I didn't take the time to look, but is it safe to assume the proposed places are accessible by metro? That would be a dealbreaker for me.
