I flew out earlier this week.
Departure was delayed but the pilot said they waited for a connecting flight and it was maybe 15-20 minutes.
Slow taxi to the runway and then waited a couple of minutes before taking off. There wasn't much of a queue on the runway.

I was on two flights this week - one was 15 mins late, but no mentions of connections from the crew after we land. The other one was on time (missing first class snack basket though on this flight.)
Im looking at a night departure as I will be on the night SIN flight from SFO in a few weeks with a 1 hr layover. That short haul into SFO has been delayed 40 to 90 mins EVERYDAY in the past week. But looking at other flight stats, seems like ~30 mins delay for at least half of these kind of short hauls from SoCal. Not betting on United doing anything helpful ahead of travel now.

SFO has been landing on Rwy 19L (ie, same as 1R) for much of the day today. Thats confusing - isnt the runway that is supposed to be out of service?
I understand why this runway is a good choice for the stormy weather today. Last night my flight landed on 28R with 10 knot crosswind from the southeast, and it was one of the rougher landings Ive felt.

“Your inbound aircraft is delayed in because current conditions are limiting the number of planes allowed to land each hour in San Francisco”
2 hour delay - would’ve missed my cxn by over an hour. Rebooked for tomorrow.
(now to figure out how to use that meal voucher from the comfort of my bed)
