Simplified registration system is now live
Just a quick note to let people know that a simplified registration system is now in place. There's no longer a requirement to provide a phone number and we're no longer sending out any text messages. There's also no requirement to set a password anymore. It will just send a code to your email instead when you want to log in.
For people with existing accounts that include a phone number, you'll be able to delete your own phone number in about 24-48 hours. Just go to My Profile, edit the number and save the profile. The phone number isn't on that page just at the moment but that functionality will appear in 24-48 hours.
We almost went live with the Google Single Sign On today but we found an oddity with one person so we're going to do a little more testing before launching that feature.

If you wish to see additional information that we protect behind a free registration then you will need to create and account and login. If you don't wish to create an account and login you will still be able to see the original image version of the seat map.

Hello everyone. We are looking for a small number of people to try out the new AeroLOPA iPhone app via TestFlight and provide us with thoughts and feedback. If you would like to participate please send me a private message.
Don't worry Android users. A version for you will be coming soon as well.
The new iPhone app includes our latest Flight Search facility which prompts for a flight number and date and returns the expected seat map without the need to do your own research. This functionality will be coming to the web version very soon as well.
Thanks,
The AeroLOPA Team

Wish the site clearly indicated the Comfort+ seats with extra legroom and other items, like identifying restricted recline, musing window etc. It is very difficult to tell these items from looking at the picture. For example, on DL the Comfort+ Seats just have a small slightly reddish stripe on the seatmap and unclear on the legroom spacing.

We have exciting updates to share with you. There's lots more still to come but these are the features that made it into our latest release that's available now.
# What's New on AeroLOPA
We've rebuilt AeroLOPA from the ground up — faster, cleaner, and packed with new features to help you find the best seat on your next flight.
## Find Your Aircraft
Search by your flight number and travel date, and we'll identify the exact aircraft configuration you'll be flying on. Our system matches your flight to the correct seat map using real-time schedule data, and when available, tail-number tracking for even greater accuracy. You'll see your best match highlighted, along with any alternative configurations the airline uses on the same route.
## Cabin Details
Signed-in users now get detailed cabin-by-cabin breakdowns on every aircraft page. Expand any cabin class to see seat pitch, width, recline, in-flight entertainment, power outlets, USB, wireless charging, and more — all presented with clear iconography. Each cabin uses the airline's own branded name, so you'll see "Delta One" or "Club World" rather than generic class labels.
## Entertainment and Connectivity
Every aircraft page now shows the onboard entertainment system and WiFi quality at a glance. We indicate whether the IFE is streamed or wired, and rate WiFi quality on a Good / Better / Best scale so you know what to expect before you board.
## Variant Navigation
Many airlines operate different cabin configurations of the same aircraft type. We now group these variants together with pagination dots, making it easy to browse between configurations — for example, switching between American Airlines' three different 777-200 layouts without losing your place.
## Great Window Seats
On each aircraft page, we highlight the seats with the best window alignment — perfect for photographers or anyone who likes a view. We only recommend seats that also have a good or neutral overall rating, so you won't be steered to a window seat that compromises on comfort.
## Seat Recommendations
Toggle seat recommendations on any aircraft page to see colour-coded ratings across the entire cabin. Green seats are recommended, yellow seats come with caveats, and red seats are ones to avoid when you can. Sign in to unlock this feature.
## Aircraft Descriptions
Most aircraft pages now include a written description of the configuration, giving you context about the cabin layout, seat products, and what makes that particular variant noteworthy.
## Faster Everything
The new site loads significantly faster than before. Pages render in under a second, seat maps appear instantly, and the fleet swipers respond without delay. We've moved our images to a global CDN and optimised every asset for speed.
## Google and Apple Sign-In
You can now sign in with your Google or Apple account in addition to email. Signing in unlocks cabin details, seat recommendations, saved aircraft, and flight history.
## Dual-Deck Aircraft
For aircraft like the A380 and 747, switch between Main Deck and Upper Deck with a single tap. Both decks are always available from the same page.
## Improved Search
The search bar now recognises aircraft codes, airline names, and IATA codes. Type "77W" to jump straight to a Boeing 777-300ER, or search any airline by name or two-letter code.
## Articles
We're adding editorial content about airlines, aircraft, and the aviation industry. Check the Articles section for the latest.

Hi friends,
I just wanted to add my hello to the thread. If you click my handle, you'll see that 25 years ago I started SeatGuru right here on Flyertalk. When TripAdvisor shut it down back in November, I took a look around and realized that what these folks had built at AeroLOPA was really special, and the to-scale LOPAs (gotta get used to that term!) are a game changer. I was lucky to get to join the team and spend the last few months in the wonderland that was almost 1500 planes and boatloads of airline and seating data. There's tons of cool tech under-the-hood now, from computer vision to trained models. We've got a platform now that can seriously scale to doing really cool things, and we appreciate your support (and, at times, patience) as we forge new frontiers in airline seating. Best, -Matt

Does AeroLOPA have alert functions for seat maps, schedule, and aircraft changes? Been looking for something better than the continuously broke ExpertFlyer.
also, whats LOPA?
Thanks.

With this new release last night we have made it far easier to create an account with the Single Sign On options for Google and Apple.
I hope that explains it but let us know if anything is not clear.
[PS. One advantage of having an account is that we can tell you if your seat ratings has changed once we match your saved flight to a tail number.]
