Where are you flying from? I assume LHR. Where would you like to go? BKK I think might net around 2000 TPs including bonus TP. Maybe then buy some SAF or if you want to book a holiday then this might already give you the TPs you need.
If you can share more requirements that would be awesome.

But a single BA holiday in Club World ex-MAN costing 2,239 or more will also do it.

And here's the one that i will most likely do in 2027 to return approximately 18.400 TPs at a cost of 4570.
My strategy is the following:

The first part of the run can work like this
Start the run on Thursday. Friday out to DOH and then fly to LAX. Fly to JFK and return to LHR after the 1st bank holiday. A return ticket (WTP will suffice if someone doesn't want to spend a lot) JFK-LHR
The 2nd run begins on the 2nd Bank Holiday, most likely on Friday or Thursday and adding annual leave. Flying the return leg back to JFK. JFK-NRT flight and the 2 x SIN flights. Rest in Tokyo for a few days.
Take the flight from NRT to DOH and then back to OSL.
Of course i intend to visit places that i am interested to such as Tokyo, Singapore etc while i am doing it. TPs won't be my only concern when the time comes to implement this.
Remaining TPs will come from getaways to Europe and my home city, Athens
I calculate the cost to approximately 6000 retain gold
My strategy is the following:
- Use May's UK Bank Holidays to minimize burnt annual leave impact.
- Choose AY/JL/QR
- Fly as further as possible to maximize TPs but with a normal amount of flights
- Select Airports that have multiple flights a day in case things go bad (cancellations, delays etc)
- Select routes that use A350 and/or 787 to minimize fatigu

I wonder what peoples Itineraries might look like now, if they are avoiding QR and DOH.

My DONE3 (starting from OSL on 24 April) is similar using three QR flights to/from DOH, although I am waiting to hear from QR regarding re-routing/cancellations.

Hi obamtl No,eventually didn't had to. I was planning to schedule and book that starting from July but the events took off track the whole planning, plus i have loads of trips till end of this year so it will be hard for me to start something soon Hopefully i will plan this after March next year
Fingers crossed for those already having booked trips with QR etc and everything goes as planned.

I'm in the same boat on my imminent BA Gold RTW starting 15th April, the first two QR sectors OSL-DOH-LHR just removed from my itinerary. No notifications, let alone rebooking, and my ticket is now in an unflyable state as first two coupons missing yet not marked as INVOL. If I try to check in for sector 3 LHR-HND it will not work as out of sequence. I am hoping to rebook LHR-OSL direct, but QR insists on D class availability (not compatible with EU261 rerouting but hey ho) so it looks like I will be forced to take it all right to the wire to be able to access other fare classes and get the ticket into something I can fly, even if i doesn't deliver the intended 20K nTP.
It's a high-risk game as everything rests on BA and ORC, I am seeing reports that BA is doing this for ME-impacted bookings, theother option is to cancel and rebook but finding JL D class married segments etc was hard enough before and that was without the added pressure of no ME services to the far east.

Did you book your flights through a ticketing agent or directly with the airlines? The situation is becoming increasingly complex (and worrisome for many in a similar situation, it seems). I am due to start my RTW on 24 April, but am in California on a separate trip from 7-19 April, so will be keeping a wary eye open for changes from QR (cancellations/re-routings) while out there. On return from USA, I have a day or two to make a final call based on the flight positions. Let us know what you decide to do with your ticket. Good luck.

I'm desperately trying to salvage something workable, but it seems likely I will also end up bailing.

I finished my DONE RTW ticket 2 weeks ago. Luckily we had front loaded QR on the first part last November, with this section only having the BOS-DOH-LHR legs disrupted. We were re-routed with BA on a BOS-LHR flight, but now I'm just playing the waiting game for my QR legs to be credited via ORC which can take up to a month apparently.
