I'm in the same boat on my imminent BA Gold RTW starting 15th April, the first two QR sectors OSL-DOH-LHR just removed from my itinerary. No notifications, let alone rebooking, and my ticket is now in an unflyable state as first two coupons missing yet not marked as INVOL. If I try to check in for sector 3 LHR-HND it will not work as out of sequence. I am hoping to rebook LHR-OSL direct, but QR insists on D class availability (not compatible with EU261 rerouting but hey ho) so it looks like I will be forced to take it all right to the wire to be able to access other fare classes and get the ticket into something I can fly, even if i doesn't deliver the intended 20K nTP.
It's a high-risk game as everything rests on BA and ORC, I am seeing reports that BA is doing this for ME-impacted bookings, theother option is to cancel and rebook but finding JL D class married segments etc was hard enough before and that was without the added pressure of no ME services to the far east.
Did you book your flights through a ticketing agent or directly with the airlines? The situation is becoming increasingly complex (and worrisome for many in a similar situation, it seems). I am due to start my RTW on 24 April, but am in California on a separate trip from 7-19 April, so will be keeping a wary eye open for changes from QR (cancellations/re-routings) while out there. On return from USA, I have a day or two to make a final call based on the flight positions. Let us know what you decide to do with your ticket. Good luck.
