I was offered the Feb menu to pre-select from for my Mar 1 flight on CX252. Baked Lobster, Beef Cheeks, or Artichoke Panzerotti. I know sometimes monthly switchovers don't happen on the 1st day of the month so not sure if this will continue through Mar or if will alternate back to the Jan menu.

I'm indifferent between the Lobster vs the Beef Cheeks so won't pre-select and if they have extra, might try for both since I'm not loving the breakfast options. Will report back on my thoughts after the flight.

Tried both and thought the beef cheeks was much better than the baked lobster, which was overcooked and quite tough

CX252 - LHR to HKG - Mar 1

Menu was identical to Feb Menu that l380 in post #13. Adding wine list pics only b/c the Chateau Montrose was notable to me as a very good wine.

Ordered the shrimp and fortunately, I wasn't very hungry. They were pretty good though slightly overcooked. As you can see, I would recommend them as an accompaniment rather than a standalone main since there were only 3!

Pork Teriyaki Burger - I had high hopes for this and was let down. It was less a burger and more like pulled pork/ short rib in texture. As in, it didn't really hold together. I also didn't really taste teriyaki though whatever the flavor was, it was tasty. I'd say good but not great. Unsurprisingly, the sweet potato fries were soggy.

Overall, as you several of you warned me, catering was fine but not special. I thought the service was very good. Had a friendly crew that was well intentioned. That said, I can see where the complaints might come from as the service just isn't quite as polished as an SQ. I would happily fly CX again based on this crew's service. And the CX F seat on the 777 is more comfortable to me than the SQ 777 seat.

I would probably order differently next time though I ate enough in the lounge leaving LHR and was saving room for the Pier on arrival so wasn't too fussed about the flight.

Thanks again to everyone for the pre-flight info.

Can't tell from this pic but the container is about half the SQ portion. Same circumference but only half the height.

Chilled Baked Cod - Good but not great.

Mediterranean Shrimp - slightly overcooked but good flavor

Black Glutinous Rice with mango, coconut yoghurt, vanilla ice cream - probably my favorite part of the meal.

CX830 HKG to JFK on Apr 22.
I had ordered a special meal, so didnt get to try the main menu (except for cheeses and dessert, both of which were excellent).

Sharing the food menu for reference.
