Resort fee is waived for globalist, the price shown on Hyatt site/app already included the resort fee by law, so when you are a globalist, subtract $50 from that price and that will be your nightly rate, $50 resort fees cover:

Wouldn't be surprised if the family sues.

It might mean the Rio will set welfare checks like other Vegas properties. Bye bye to those long ghost stays.
On what basis would the Rio be liable for an intentional act by the mother? And what would a mandatory morning room check have accomplished? On all of my stays I haven't a housekeeper show up until the afternoon.

An incognito window search of the hotel quickly disproves this theory.

Click on the Rio "View Rates" and then I can change the dates and other fields to finally get results. Or go straight to the Hyatt Rio page using a search engine.

Type Las Vegas, and then click into Rio and enter your dates. Caution:If the Rio is sold out (i.e. March 3rd) then this search will still fail in the same fashion as through the app and standard search.

as someone who actually stays here regularly - not a ghost - I would rather GLOB treatment improves if it means less ghosts.
ghost stays still provide atleast some revenue. this hotel is normally dead on the weekdays. even if Ipanema is usually fully booked for conferences they can always send globalist ghosts to masquerade. their resort fee is truly atrocious like the rest of Las Vegas. they deserve to get burned with decreased visitors esp with the anti-USA across the globe.

IANAL. Cant imagine they are liable for anything. This past weekend I even have a sign at the elevators downstairs specifically stating that even if you have a do not disturb sign out, they will enter the room after appropriately announcing themselves.

Curious how smoky the casino and surrounding areas are. My husband has a conference at Rio next month. I am tagging along. He has the conference rate that is dirt cheap but nothing is available for the conference rate on Saturday night, the first night of our stay. That means the Rio is stupid expensive that night and we would have to stay elsewhere for one night.

I am also comped at Fontainebleau for those dates. I would just rather stay at Fontainebleau the entire time and have him commute back and forth to Rio. He's not having it, unfortunately. Please give it to me straight - how bad is the Rio? 🤣

I really dislike smoke and didn’t notice it at all. Not while at the Super Bowl party or while playing Blackjack near the main lobby.

It's no worse than any other casino. Maybe if it's a busy event you might notice it but to me it's just the musty smell of the casino itself.

Its not that Rio is bad as its not a premium luxury property.
Its for the non discerning masses frequently at a value price point.
For those that chase WOH status at a lower cost its a big draw.If I didn't have status I might do the same

My perception is its a dated hotel that has gotten somewhat of an adequate refresh. No one is going to say they come here
for 5 star service, accommodations or fine dining.
Their new rooftop restaurant which opened around New Years has a local area chef with some notoriety but having dined in his downtown restraunt
with some of the worst service I have ever experienced its a no go for me.Refrigerated rubbery tomatoes and other sins no way will I waste my $$$ there.

Rios other positives are a more quiet area off the strip albeit with a lot of traffic nearby and for many
hungry globes a complimentary breakfast that may pull some from the strip for the value add alone.
So adequate refreshed hotel and certainly better and newer than Circus Circus or Excalibur etc
Many are quite pleased to have a LV option after Marriott gutted the former Hyatt relationship with MGM
and an alternative to the vastly overpriced Venetian/Palazzo or a Hyatt Place
YMMV

Thank You 👍
Got it one main 🙄 i don’t do coffee or juice 🫣🤪
I think I will cancel as it’s 250 for one night without resort fee and I can do better elsewhere including breakfast
If it’s 100 or less I can see one main but ok they are executing min terms and conditions
