Monopoly is back… out of curiosity, I’ve tried the online AMOE and won 16 food and/or points prizes in 4 days, in addition to reaching the automatic $10 Best Buy reward.

I am finding this year's return of the McRib a little disappointing. The Sauce is very watery/thin compared to year's past and the sandwich seems to have a lot more onions as well. I can pick off the extra onions, but the sauce being as runny as it is, causes little added flavor as when it was thicker.
I wish the app would have an easy button as it has the extra button when selecting condiments.

The sandwich was back to the thick sauce that was running out the side of the box. A little messy, but well worth the price of $6.19 plus tax Now I have a reason to go to the local store every day for either lunch or dinner. However, I will check the app to find out if another store in the area may have a lower price.

It shows up on my app, but says it's unavailable. News outlets are reporting it's supposed to go live tomorrow.

It maybe that the store hasn't received the delivery of the products. As I stated it showed up on my app, no advertising on the menu board or windows. Seeing this post, I went to look to order it for delivery as I don't want to go out at this time, the price is $1.70 more than if I were to pick it up. I will wait for tomorrow.

McDonalds hit with class action lawsuit claiming McRib doesnt contain any rib meat
An article on the-independent.com:

McDonald’s says a federal class-action lawsuit claiming it misled millions by marketing the McRib as real pork rib “distorts the facts.”
The 45-page complaint, filed on December 23, 2025, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois by Peter Le, Charles Lynch, Dorien Baker, and Derrick Wilson, takes issue with the product’s name and presentation, notably the term “McRib” and its rib-shaped patty, which they say would lead a reasonable consumer to believe the sandwich includes real rib meat when there is none.
According to the complaint, the McRib is actually made from restructured pork, which combines cuts such as shoulder, heart, tripe, and scalded stomach, none of which qualify as rib meat....... A McDonald’s spokesperson told The Independent that the McRib uses 100 percent boneless pork with BBQ sauce, onions, and pickles, and that no hearts, tripe, or scalded stomach are included.

When the McRib was originally launched, it was known the pork patty was made to resemble a rib. Do they want rib bones in a sandwich? I will still order the McRib as a nostalgic throwback to middle school when I had my first McRib

If they win, I hope the jury awards them McRibs instead of cash. Id even be happy if the payout was in Filet-O-fish. Talk about frivolous.

How long has the McRib been around? 40 years or so?? I remember when it was first introduced as I was a crew person for a store in Miramar, FL. When it was first introduced you had 2 options, either the current form with BBQ sauce or with Sweet and Sour Sauce. After the Patties were cooked, they were placed in a pan in the sauce. When ordered they were made as needed into sandwiches. This was the first fully "made as needed" as every other burger was made and held in a bin up front. This also help transition the kitchen to stage the protein (Burgers, chicken, fish, and nuggets) and assemble the final product as needed like it is now.
The point is why would someone finally file a lawsuit after all this time? As stated above, I hope this gets dismissed as frivolous. If it goes forward, McDonalds should file a countersuit to have the legal fees reimbursed if they lose.

From the article:
I guess McD's marketing department put the kibosh on naming the sandwich more accurately, McOffal

Probably because, according to them, they dont include the tripe, heart or stomach mentioned in the lawsuit. And shoulder is acceptable to me, although technically not rib meat. Maybe they should have called it a sandwich sized pork construct on a bun with barbecue sauce and onions. But I think McRib sounds more fun and sells better.
