90 nights and 24k base points
I'll keep staying at Hyatt. But I don't know when I'll get to LTG. Im 8 yrs globalist but think Im a decade or more away from LTG. I wish they did 1000 nights and 10 yrs globalist, selfishly, but understand why they don't. Not good to devalue elite recognition for those who earn it via spending
Yeah, in lifetime titanium via Starwood. After that debacle (I have one night in a a Marriott this year) my wife won't let me try for LTG.
I'm tempted to sell my main home and just live in a park Hyatt for a year or two to get LTG. Wife didn't disagree right away but then I couldn't get globalist benefits when traveling those 2 yrs as can only get credit for one property at a time.
But wife did agree to me doing mattress runs at cheap URCoves just to maintain globalist if I ever fall short of 60 nights

You can always book a one or two year PH stay to your wifes account and do some side stays for yourself. I am sure she appreciates that

I got just over 60 and 112,840 points. I like that LTG is purely a dollar play. The guest who stays less often but spends more is a better value proposition for their business than the one that stays way more spending way less. Benefits will always diminish if the resources providing them have to turn rooms more etc. If I had a hotel and a guest who spent $1k a night vs. 10 who each spent $100 I know which one I would want occupying the rooms.
Base points to LTG literally makes it a fair race to 1 million.

My neighbor is a LTG and I feel that he barely cares he has that status since he doesn't travel nearly as much as he used to anymore. He is also is a Marriott lifetime titanium member and basically says that status is next to worthless.
In any event I'm not going to chase lifetime status from any brand, if it happens organically fine but who knows how liftetime status from a brand gets devalued as time goes by. Marriott and Hilton are both perfect examples of that happening.

Well, my split booking 28-31 and 31-1 didn't credit properly. I got wasted 3 nights for 2025. Hopefully my concierge can fix it as the hotel couldn't. They said they'd call customer service and see what they can do. Oh well. I would have liked 4 nights to start off the year

Hit 60 on the nose as well with the help of a couple of cheapo mattress runs in December.. Here I am trying to get Marriot status during the double tier whenever it happens and globalist on top of it. It will be interesting to see how realistic that is given how travel fell off a bit for me last year.

They've fixed it so I got the 4 nights but it seems I've been charged twice 🤦 hopefully they can fix that too easily. Put $40,000 USD on the card yesterday so should be well on my way towards requalification as I also have 8 nights starting today.

Hit 60 on the nose with a cheapo points mattress run. Too many customer booked nights at non-hyatt locations. Almost hit 61 with a late GoH gift, but the recipient ended up getting COVID and canceling the trip. Maybe they'll use it in early 2026 and give me a free night to start off. And about to start a 17 night non-hyatt trip for most of January. I feel like Glob might be hard this year given shifting travel demands. Have been Diamond/Glob since 2010

I thought WOH spend that converts to EQN say $10k spend for 5 EQN (which for the 85 nights would equate to at least $170k in the most recent statement date that closed recently to credit the nights in the first 3 days of the year) would also have moved the bar for the highlighted nights. It should be indicating well beyond Globalist level.
Why has it not recognized Globalist yet from either the supposed EQN or spend? Both would have qualified it. Also, how have you amassed $62k in room spend in the first 3 days of the year? Altogether seems a bit odd.

I just think the night tracker fuel gauge bar and the numbers arent syncing yet as it should be reset to zero.
