Should be able to buy after purchasing the ticket as well, regardless of ticket type, usually runs around 10.-/XP

Indeed, I have never seen a reward upgrade available for long haul. Maybe they do it for in-Europe flights? I never check those.
I'm still wondering about the demographic here. Or is this just a way to quantify the credit card offers, justify a price hike, and hope that it will increase the appeal of the cards to people who fly less?

They are available. But 20% off something like this does not make it a good offer..

Aye, if the price raises the question 'how much would a private jet set me back anyway?', 10-20 percent off is not a bargain. On the other hand, if you are going to spend that kind of money on miles, your 600 euro investment bags you 0.25 euro cents/mile. If you do it twice in a year, it's 0.125 euro cents/mile. All you need is to have the other 2 million miles, but if you buy those at the discount rate of 1.5 cents / mile, and take a round-trip upgrade, you're paying 13,400 instead of 16,000, plus a regular economy ticket. So you get, on average, 2000 profit on just that one feature!

Okay, so here is where my dust settled. Not all flights with an "Air France or KLM code" (as they say) will have the option to earn XP through SAF. But all such flights will be available for the 20% XP bonus through the subscription.

They really should say: discount of up to 240,200 miles on upgrades

But the new 600 XP cap kills the deal for me instantly.

My Platinum renewal was last month and Im already at 102 XP. Ill add another 90 XP soon from non-AFKLM flights. That alone puts me right up against the cap. So the extra XP from this program becomes useless without a UXP.

I can see the value for Platinums who barely hit the threshold each year. For everyone else it escalates too fast. Introducing a cap and an XP accelerator in the same year feels contradictory.
I must have missed something. What is the 600XP cap referred to here? -tks

Maximum amount of XP that can be earned in a single membership year as Platinum. 300 XP for requalification and 300 maximum roll over to next year.

Yes, it seems you must have.

Get over to Will XP rollover become limited in 2025? for further details or for any questions on the topic.

Note that the very last accounts were transitioned to the new maximum cap of 600XP just last week at the end of October

Seems they have started to show the "Extra" exclusive promos within the usual monthly promo awards.

Yes, almost all Business Class promo rewards are for FB Extra members only. Even as FB Platinum member you don't have access to the most attractive Promo Rewards. Another devaluation.

on the other hand side platinum and ultimate get much better availability for entry level awards - you can't have everything. I guess nobody is willing to subscribe to FB extra to get access to these promo awards.
