If Air France does roll out Economy Comfort as rumoured, that would help on a few of my regular routes to Asia where I'd gladly take the CDG layover (and sometimes already do based on departure times).

AF KL at its best this morning with our IT. Flying eco light on KL tomorrow and can not move to economy comfort for free on desktop. I have to pay around 20€. App does not show any other seat available. Called PSL, agent told me it is because of eco light ticket. Did not argue, moved on, wrote feedback. Reply to my feedback says I should take care of what I buy and read terms.
Funny, I can select comfort for free for my return on Thursday..

In the end the IT glitch was fixed later on during yesterday so moved myself to Comfort and moved my father to Comfort as well at the airport. Fully booked flight, check in agent said they wont sit anyone next to me unless necessary - at the end it was but I find E-jets comfy even with a neighbour. Got asked if I would like to have something else after main Y service and got Baileys to with second round of coffee. On DUB bound flight I was in exit row, FA who took care of exit rows during boarding came before service to ask me if I would like to have the box (declined as I ate in lounge and was quiet tired and hoped for quick shut eye) or something to drink from J - got Italian wine. She did the same for my father (silver member now but same surname, bold head even we are more than 30 years apart) who had the box and G&T. Nice recognitions!

So being PLAT with AF number. Just got at the gate uppgrade on a Light ticket on AMS-OTP. But no special mention onboard. My experience was that KLM staff did do special mention for KL numbers not AF ones, happened once when they greated a PL sitting next to me. Just my 2 cents.

I'm not sure what you mean by that.
Maybe you mean that you do most of your flying on AF, so consider yourself an AF customer more than a Flying Blue passenger.
Maybe you mean that you were originally a Frequence Plus member, and got transferred over to Flying Blue from Frequence Plus 20-odd years ago?
Neither AF nor KL is an integral part of your Flying Blue number - you can identify yourself as either. There's no internal "division" between AF numbers and KL numbers - there are only just Flying Blue numbers.

Random thought, and apologies for the off-topic, but I really can't recall if Frquence Plus and Flying Dutchman card numbers were kept during the transition to FB, or if everybody was assigned a new number. Would be funny if you could still identify whose account originated in a FP or FD membership from 20 years ago.
