Also, would you still avoid these rooms? -30 to -51 for tube noise?

We stayed here for a week in December 2024
Elite breakfast is in the Cast Iron Grill. All the usual items plus made to order eggs. No smoked salmon so brekkie gets little boring
Rooms are really small with a queen bed. No real closet either. If you are a pull clothes out of your suitcase traveler it will be difficult to stay here.
The lounge has a half way decent spread at night. Usually some curry derivative in small plates. Decent deserts. Beer and wine gratis You could make a meal out of it
Sainsbury across the street for a full size supermarket
There is a wash and fold across the street as well. $12 for a basket of laundry - ready in 2 hours. Good deal.

The London Marriott Kensington was an interesting hotel that I would categorize as not bad. Here are my impressions and photos:
Pros:
Cons:
I wouldnt mind coming back, but the AC is kind of a downer.
Photos (please expand the Spoiler tag):
Pros:
- Upgraded to a Junior Suite - ended up with one with two beds, which was a bit surprising but fine
- Bed was generally comfortable - medium mattress, plush pillows, covers were a bit thin (but fine when layered from both beds)
- Shower pressure was good
- Couch was comfortable
- Lounge had good desserts - blueberry cheesecake in afternoon, coffee walnut cake in evening
- Breakfast is only served in restaurant - omelet with cheese, bacon, sausage, and ham was one of the best omelets I have ever had - hashbrowns were decent
- Requested 2 PM checkout was fine
Cons:
- AC was not effective and room was quite hot to me
- Couple of potential improvements could be made in stain control on one towel and one pillow case
- Bed covers could be more plush individually
I wouldnt mind coming back, but the AC is kind of a downer.

Upcoming stay booked here - wondering if there are any updates. LTP if that matters. Also curious if breakfast is still in restaurant, or if lounge now serves breakfast. Is the evening lounge beer/wine comp?

I have a weeklong stay coming up and currently have The Stratford, Autograph Collection booked. I've been there before, and I generally like that area. My meetings are in Tottenham Court Road, so I'm ~20 mins away on the Elizabeth Line.
I'm no stranger to London, but I always seem to stay east of Hyde Park (Shoreditch, the City, Victoria, Stratford, Canary Wharf). I saw the Marriott Kensington has similar rates, and I've never really stayed in that area. Worth swapping to 'commute' from a different part of London? Seems to have easy access to the Piccadilly line.
