The London Marriott Kensington was an interesting hotel that I would categorize as “not bad.” Here are my impressions and photos:
Pros:
- Upgraded to a Junior Suite - ended up with one with two beds, which was a bit surprising but fine
- Bed was generally comfortable - medium mattress, plush pillows, covers were a bit thin (but fine when layered from both beds)
- Shower pressure was good
- Couch was comfortable
- Lounge had good desserts - blueberry cheesecake in afternoon, coffee walnut cake in evening
- Breakfast is only served in restaurant - omelet with cheese, bacon, sausage, and ham was one of the best omelets I have ever had - hashbrowns were decent
- Requested 2 PM checkout was fine
Cons:
- AC was not effective and room was quite hot to me
- Couple of potential improvements could be made in stain control on one towel and one pillow case
- Bed covers could be more plush individually
I wouldn’t mind coming back, but the AC is kind of a downer.
