There's a reason it's so cheap and this time round, it's not because of competition.

Think we found the customer LH is thinking of when they make changes "due to customer demand"

What's total pax capacity has to do with amount of F seats?

AA has 200mil plus and is getting rid of Flagship First completely. DL is 200mil and doesn't have F at all.
Some of the 140 million passengers are likely willing to pay for F. Only because a carrier doesn't offer F, doesn't mean there is no demand for it. LH and LX F is full of Americans.

Some of us need to go to TLV & LX did have a A330 but if you have to go just that & you can dine in the FCL before your flight & rest as much as possible onboard, it currently gives a strange number of points but we are where we are

Then surely, more of the 200 million passengers are likely willing to pay for F?

Then if F demand is so high, why are american carriers just denying themselves the profits?

But come on. Its such a devaluation that you cant get to Male, Cancun, Mauritius etc any more because they moved the flights to Discover and exclude the Hon guarantee.

Not to me, mainline does not fly there & nor do i have any interest in those places, each to their own, i would not fly those distances on a tourist focussed airline in a substandard J

EK or QR if needed

As long as you could be sure to get A330 (and with HON I understand you would have been pretty much guaranteed an F seat too), I don't think that showed up in the cheap tickets. Other option then also used to be Edelweiss to Jordan under Swiss numbers, but neither of these will be relevant for quite a while yet.

Because their F sucked in comparison to European and Asian rivals and had - at the end - no revenue flyers.

If an F doesn't work ex-USA, the richest country in the world, it shouldn't work ex-EU, ex-UAE/ME, ex-SIN, ex-TYO and ex-SYD but it does. Your argumentation is too simple and doesn't work out.

The richest country in the world, except those that are richer!

Also, GDP doesn't equal disposable income, let alone time to travel regularly. There definitely are markets with much more substantial demand for luxury products than the US (then again, were talking about Lufthansa here, so maybe I shouldn't be mentioning luxury products ).

US is the biggest single market for luxury goods. Read the reports of LVMH or Kering.

Who pays for C or F travel out of personal pockets? It's not tax deductible.
