Also, GDP doesn't equal disposable income, let alone time to travel regularly. There definitely are markets with much more substantial demand for luxury products than the US (then again, were talking about Lufthansa here, so maybe I shouldn't be mentioning luxury products

US is the biggest single market for luxury goods. Read the reports of LVMH or Kering.
Who pays for C or F travel out of personal pockets? It's not tax deductible.
