They did this (as usual) the other day at the start of my flight BCN-IAD but at the end told us that they'd be back later with more exciting details of their ffer ... The followup was hours later and so we had to endure 95% of the annoying pitch twice.

Honest questions: Why would someone want that card? What would they do with it?

You use it to buy things, then pay for them later in the month. Meanwhile, you accumulate valuable SkyMiles

LaserSailor, the original post said “business cards” — as in the pilot’s business card. Why would someone want the pilot’s business card? What would they do with the pilot’s business card?

LaserSailor was joking with you....

People like them because they make them feel important and special - I suppose some even collect them -- did you see the thread on plane cards for each plane type?

I've received many but don't save them -- I tried to email one particularly great pilot but never heard back...

Honestly I'm more offended by the shorts and full leg-display than the feet up, but that's probably just me being weirdly old fashioned.

I don't mind other passengers wearing shorts in domestic first class. But I will definitely be tut-tutting over a passenger wearing shorts in international business class. Of course, I absolutely understand it's none of my business what other passengers wear but we all have our hang-ups.

As for the "full leg-display" in the photo: those were some damn fine legs.

No interest in the card. The hopping around the cabin greeting only some passengers just felt weird.

Sometimes I watch movies on the IFE with just subtitles on sans audio and it gets reset to the default setting (off) every time there's an announcement. The only workaround I found is to turn it on in accessibility settings for the hearing disabled so that the "default" setting is on. I guess it's a software engineer gripe, but someone coded the FA announcement to override in a very weird way.

I have two. One is extremely petty (and a little cringe), the other is something a bit more reasonable.

The first one is the lack of international and obscure IFE. I'd kill for a good anime series or obscurely directed film (like Fallen Angels). If UA had San Gatsu no Lion in their system (or an equivalent series), I would fly them every time. I was so happy when Kimisomu was in the system earlier this year (even if it was the live action).

The second one is the fact that as a 50K Aeroplan member, checking in via the United App or online is an absolute pain, so when I have partner travel on UA, I can't even put in contact information for whatever reason without it giving an error because I'm using an Aeroplan number.

Okay, new trivial gripe, United is no longer loading Aha sparking water onto the beverage carts.

I need a new go-to beverage now.

I had aha water yesterday. Is this something new?

since we are talking about little things, I often fly to OGG either out of San Francisco or Denver, and it appears that there is some variability with regards to how the airport is listed on the monitors as either Kahului, Maui, various combinations of both which can be a minor inconvenience when looking alphabetically to see if the time or gate has changed, which is not in frequent

A320 row 1 tray table too close to my stomach but excellent legroom. MAX-8 row 1 excellent tray table stomach clearance but legroom sucks.
