SkyTeam Mexico-Europe (both ways) from $860 OW
This might be interesting for people trying to earn the 1M SAS points.
You can fly MAD-MEX on AZ/AM for as low as $860/€790:
https://www.google.com/travel/flight...mW5GrAMS6LDvV7
But availability is sparse and it seems like you can only book with Kiwi.
Also be aware that AZ doesn't count for the SAS promotion.
However, in the other direction, availability is wide open:
You can start in MEX, possibly also CUN (but in that case availability is much more limited) and end in AMS, FCO, GOT, possibly other cities.
Example:
https://www.google.com/travel/flight...a3oN8rJaW5hev5
Fares start from as little as $930/€850.
Routing is very flexible. Be aware that the fare rules may differ - for example, AF doesn't allow stopovers, but AM does.
AM can route on UX (MEX-MAD-AMS with MAD-AMS on UX's 787 with lie-flat seats) - but be aware that those UX segments will be codeshare flights with AM flight numbers, so it's not 100% clear if they will count as UX for the SAS promotion (though they should).
I didn't check alle fares, at least with the AM fares from Mexico to Europe, travel has to be completed by December 14.
Edit:
The fares ex Mexico seem to have a a 28-day advance purchase requirement, so the booking window is rather narrow.
Google Flights seems to struggle with pricing stopovers correctly, ITA Matrix does a better job.

Where are you seeing that? Returns I saw were usually a couple hundred dollars more expensive than that.
But I also didn't check returns much since I'm flying an SAS award ticket in the other direction.
Also check out the cheap DE (Condor) fares.

Ah, Google isn't showing me that OTA, that's probably why. For me, Google is showing a price of about $4k for your link.
Must be something funny with the ex-EU fares that only certain OTAs offer them, and which OTAs you're seeing probably depends on your location.

Yes, which OTA's are shown depends on the location. When I change the location dropdown at the bottom of the screen to UK, the lower OTA price is shown.
Unfortunately, I need VS for the SAS promotion, I don't think you can route on them. You can, however buy a DL-operated ticket from VS (which I guess might make sense if you want to earn Skypesos?):

Oh, and I forgot to mention, the lowest fares ex MEX seem to have a 28-day advance purchase requirement.
Considering that travel also has to be completed by Dec 14, it's a rather small booking window.

Try this search! Maybe turning on a VPN to UK might help?

But they're not just AM fares. You can also book with AF or DL for example. No need to fly AM.

You're also likely to find this for as little as $700 one way. AM : BCN - GRU $1200-$1400 RT Business (I Class)

It does but I have noticed that it now occasionally shows one way now. Easier to find via MAD with Air Europa/AM but forcing a stopover in CDG gets the AF option to appear. I've used it a few times to hop off in MEX as a cheap way home to the US.
