SkyTeam Mexico-Europe (both ways) from $860 OW

This might be interesting for people trying to earn the 1M SAS points.

You can fly MAD-MEX on AZ/AM for as low as $860/€790:

But availability is sparse and it seems like you can only book with Kiwi.
Also be aware that AZ doesn't count for the SAS promotion.

However, in the other direction, availability is wide open:
You can start in MEX, possibly also CUN (but in that case availability is much more limited) and end in AMS, FCO, GOT, possibly other cities.
Example:

https://www.google.com/travel/flight...a3oN8rJaW5hev5

Fares start from as little as $930/€850.

Routing is very flexible. Be aware that the fare rules may differ - for example, AF doesn't allow stopovers, but AM does.
AM can route on UX (MEX-MAD-AMS with MAD-AMS on UX's 787 with lie-flat seats) - but be aware that those UX segments will be codeshare flights with AM flight numbers, so it's not 100% clear if they will count as UX for the SAS promotion (though they should).

I didn't check alle fares, at least with the AM fares from Mexico to Europe, travel has to be completed by December 14.

Edit:
The fares ex Mexico seem to have a a 28-day advance purchase requirement, so the booking window is rather narrow.
Google Flights seems to struggle with pricing stopovers correctly, ITA Matrix does a better job.
