Hey guys.
I am a new traveller and I got an offer to buy the miles. I am just trying to see if I'm missing something, because at first glance the offer does not make any sense.
Trying to book a flight in business class from Europe to LAX, it costs 3600EUR with no miles, and 3530EUR with 20.000 miles. So, 20.000 miles seem to be worth around 70EUR in this case.
And the largest bundle on offer for 150.000 miles is around 1800EUR. Which seems crazy...Am I missing something?
I tried uploading images but it says I cant until I have more than 5 posts.

Yes, you are missing a lot, you need to consider the cash cost of your ticket & then compare it to the mileage award on M&M.com from your account, including the taxes & fees.
So, awards versus revenue tickets on the same route.
Buying the miles from bundle&go is only advantageous if it works out cheaper than normal revenue tickets, this is often route dependant & if you are eligible for 50% companion discount as a SEN or HON member.

Wow, that was a fast reply Deckter . Thanks!
Unfortunately, I still am not sure I understand, so if possible, please bear with me.
From what I understand, trying to buy my ticket on the Swiss website, while logged in with my account - the cash cost of the flight I'd like to buy is 3600 EUR. That's without applying any miles.
If I apply 20.000 miles that I already have on my account, the price goes down only by 70 EUR - to 3530EUR. If i had 150.000 miles, I assume it would be saving me 7.5x times as much (20k vs 150k points) - which is like 220EUR and I'd buy those miles for 1800EUR.
But, that's what I said in my original post so I guess I'm way off in my understanding here.
Not sure I understand the last part of your post either - but if it makes sense, I'm always flying alone and I'm not yet a SEN or HON member. As I said, just recently started flying a lot (new busines idea i have)
EDIT: Posted at the same time as your second reply. I'll take a look into that and report back.

Yes, airlines prefer cash 💰 & only offer award flights when it suits them.

Award flights are limited and they get booked out quickly. I think you are too late for October, popular routes get booked even 12 months out.

Seems like most people get their miles instantly. I only got an e-mail saying 'Your transaction is pending. Thank you for your purchase. Your order has been received and your account security is important to us. Your order will be processed as soon as possible within 5 days'. It's been 6 working days since the payment, and I still haven't gotten the miles. Anyone had a similar issue with the delay, or should I start being worried

"Your Journey Trip can not be booked currently online, please contact your Miles & More Team for further assistance"
I am seeing the same error, making bookings for a family member whom I advised to open a Miles and More account to grab the Bundle and Go miles...

i just created an M&M account today. If I purchase a bundle same day, could I redeem the points right away? I was calling in to confirm availability of a flight and the agent said even if I purchase the points, I'd have to "activate" by first purchasing a cash ticket.
Alternatively another household member has an M&M account opened many months ago although no activity aside from the 500 from installing app. If we purchase points on that account, could it be used to book a ticket for a family member (different last name)?

Yes you can book for a person who is not the member. Buying points on a new account and using them straight away is not allowed. You have to have some activity on the account before the purchase.

I think i just paid for an expensive lesson. It let me purchase a bundle but now I cannot use it. Had an award booking confirmed for later this week with a phone agent.. but then ticketing team wouldn't issue the ticket.
Every agent telling me something different.
Some are saying no other activity needed just need to wait a week. I'm hoping I can actually use the points after the 1 week.
