To my surprise she defended him and claimed he was a regular. Poor her if that is the case.
Otherwise, if he's a genuinely high value customer, at least compared to any other GF guest, he'd be in the Concorde Room.
That's actually more shocking than his behaviour.

There are basically two ways for him to be a regular: he's either causing problems disproportionately and getting the staff's attention that way, or he's constantly flying on very cheap tickets and drinking his fare before he's boarded.

I agree that he is flying frequently on inexpensive tickets if staff recognise him but he's not GGL.
But there is no evidence of dypsomania or any previous adverse behaviour.
No doubt the balance of probabilities would be in your favour, but I do know non drinkers who fly regularly who are kid intolerant. Since it is a 'business lounge' not a creche, they may be inexperienced in the give and take required to allow people with familes who are gold the ability to utilise the lounges. In a couple of months it will be back to normal.
In my 'gym' there are many people who don't turn up in January due to the New Year resolution crowd. I think you have to view school summer holidays in the same light.

Self reporting, sort of.
Walked down to the gate today at LHR and there was a pretty long queue in front of the Groups 1-3. As a Group 0, I saw plenty of kids and preboards already through, so I walked to the side, spoke to the agent, and then walked back past the long queue.
One of the people in the line muttered "Don't queue jump!", to which I just smiled.
About 5 minutes later, now armed with a salad for myself and a coffee for one of the gate staff, I walked past the guy again and said "Watch this".
Again, I walked to the front of the queue, nodded at the agent, and he let me through the tensa barrier - while I passed him his coffee. I looked around, found the guy in the queue, and smiled.
This thankfully wound him up, and his partner came to the barrier a few seconds later to ask (politely) why I'd been let through. The agent advised it was because I was Group 0 - but how I wish I could have heard the subsequent converaation between the lady and her partner when she went back to him!
You see during my first interaction with the agent, he advised me boarding would be delayed, so I asked if I could nip to Pret before he scanned my BP. I asked whether he or the other staff wanted tea or coffee, and duly returned in time for boarding with his coffee.

Ha, reminds me of when I was wandering towards Athens check-in and a random American woman delighted in scornfully telling me "back of the line's that way" to a flight I had no intention of taking. I took great delight in giving her a big smile as I continued on my way.
