Walked down to the gate today at LHR and there was a pretty long queue in front of the Groups 1-3. As a Group 0, I saw plenty of kids and preboards already through, so I walked to the side, spoke to the agent, and then walked back past the long queue.
One of the people in the line muttered "Don't queue jump!", to which I just smiled.
About 5 minutes later, now armed with a salad for myself and a coffee for one of the gate staff, I walked past the guy again and said "Watch this".
Again, I walked to the front of the queue, nodded at the agent, and he let me through the tensa barrier - while I passed him his coffee. I looked around, found the guy in the queue, and smiled.
This thankfully wound him up, and his partner came to the barrier a few seconds later to ask (politely) why I'd been let through. The agent advised it was because I was Group 0 - but how I wish I could have heard the subsequent converaation between the lady and her partner when she went back to him!
You see during my first interaction with the agent, he advised me boarding would be delayed, so I asked if I could nip to Pret before he scanned my BP. I asked whether he or the other staff wanted tea or coffee, and duly returned in time for boarding with his coffee.

Was there any subsequent ‘look of death’ at you from that guy when on the plane?
