LHR-BOM has the ex-EY product, nothing else at the moment.

Also updated the Wiki with the routes the new planes are flying at the moment.

Today AI-111 was operated using VT-ALR. Can anyone confirm the origin of this aircraft? Is this an ex EY, SQ or the OG AI 777?
And does anyone know which aircraft are being used to operate this route consistently?

The BOM-JFK flights are using the B777-200LR (ex-Delta), correct?
On those, are the seats "lie flat" in business/J?

Yes. Google Delta One Suite for cabin pictures.

I meant to include this also in my previous question -
Are any of these newer planes used on BOM-EWR non-stop filghts? Or is it the old/original AI planes on this route?

We don't have delivery dates for the remainder of the EY and the SQ planes, do we?

Any chance of new planes on DEL-ORD in summer 2024? (Probably not.)

It must cost them a lot of money in loan interest or opportunity cost to lease all these planes and keep them parked.

I think that's the AI 183 that flies Tues/Thurs/Sat in both directions.

The daily is the older AI 77W.

The existing B777 fleet will go for refurb in AMM this summer. The leased aircraft will take over the operations for the ones that are in the cabin retrofit. Opening new routes and frequencies now makes no sense if you don't have the equipment (and crews) to operate them later. Having some extra spares to stabilize operations isn't so bad either.

AI does multiple pricing the old-fashioned way...they offer a few seats on each flight as web specials, and if they are sold the price jumps to the next level, then to the next, etc. So if web specials haven't sold out the price is low.
