FAQ
Q: Where is the lounge?
A: The lounge is currently closed and is temporarily relocating to Terminal 2, D concourse, where it is expected to re-open in mid-June . After the original lounge renovation is complete, the lounge will relo back tod Terminal 3, F concourse, right by Gate F2 (formerly gate 75) and the F-1 security checkpoint (that has PreCheck, sometimes).
Q: Can I visit there if I'm departing from another terminal?
A: Absolutely. Security at SFO will let passengers departing from any concourse at SFO go through security in any concourse, even ones that aren't connected behind security. At the moment, concourses C, D, E, F, and G are all connected airside to the Centurion lounge. From boarding areas A or B you would have to clear security twice. For the most up-to-date info, see Connecting in SFO thread in the FlyerTalk San Francisco forum.
Q: Can I visit if I'm arriving at SFO?
A: Centurion Lounges no longer offer access on arrival.

Issue for me is that I can rarely budget the time to get to the airport early enough to have a meal at one of the PP restaurants. Most of the time Im just looking to get a few bites of something halfway decent before my flight that starts boarding in 10 minutes or so, and the CL at SFO is not suitable for that with their recent offerings.

The way I see people lining up over and over again at the bar for drinks, Im surprised they have not put limits there. And I would think the cost of alcohol would outweigh the cost of food?

I visited recently after 9 PM so I was glad they have extended their hours. I had not been in the terminal before and I was surprised at how dingy the terminal is. The lighting is horrible. Since there are so many windows to the concourse in the lounge, it made the lounge seem dingy.
The buffet was definitely limited (more like IAH than DEN) removed all food and beverages at 10:30 and were sweeping through kicking people out at 10:55.

I was there on Thursday mid-day and thought the food was OK. Better than a few months ago, but maybe that isn't saying much.
The pineapple pork was meh (though I wouldn't have said flavorless), but I actually quite liked the salad and veggie assortment out during lunch.
The wine selection in SFO really isn't bad, though I seldom seem to be flying at times where I want a glass wine...
Still I'm most glad the expansion has actually helped with crowds and I could get a seat an have a meeting. (Was flying WN, where the trek wouldn't have been worth it, but I had a call to make..)
Was in LAS later, and that lounge is definitely less nice and more crowded, though at dinner their desserts were better...
Somewhat OT, but I am most disappointed that the VX lounge in Int'l A is not longer Plaza Premium and the Amex card doesn't help. Their food and drinks were always pretty decent and it was rarely crowded.
I'd be curious to know, but from friends who have worked in bars the wholesale costs of the common bottles they use are shockingly cheaper compared to other food. (Prep costs vary a lot...) I am surprised they haven't really gone in on the bulk / premade cocktail game....

Was in the lounge yesterday, first time for me post-renovation, so wanted to post some thoughts:
- Got to see both breakfast and lunch, since I arrived at 11 and they switched to lunch at 11:30. Food, while in general not as good as I would hope, definitely better than pre-renovation, both in quality (to an extent) and selection - glad to see an expanded area for buffet (even if not as great, as say, DEN)
- My wife (wasn't with me this time) will be glad to know that as a vegan, there are a couple of options, which is more than before. Oatmilk with coffee, so she can actually have that now. I think there was something in the breakfast, and definitely a vegan cabbage rice dish (didn't try) with lunch
- The spinach salad was very simple - mostly greens, dried cranberries and dressing - but pretty good - had some farro salad as well - that was there for breakfast, and also lunch
- Breakfast I had some heirloom tomato egg dish - which didn't have much flavor - so nothing to hate and nothing to love. Oatmeal was unmemorable. potatoes extremely greasy. Cranberry tea cakes (only in buffet by new side) were pretty good - they also had a smoked salmon frittata, and cookies by dessert area (which were decent), some sort of turmeric shot and I think a mango desser. New side also had a variety of fruits, but no hot food. Also some iced tea, OJ and I think one other juice?
- Lunch there was chicken (large wings in new area, thighs in old, but I didn't try), a pineapple tofu dish (new side), Margherita flatbread (new side - pretty good), I think another tofu dish (old side), Honey Heat 'Brussel Sprouts' (old area, per sign, but was actually broccoli, lol, but was good), steamed cauliflower (old side - blah - exactly what I'd expect unseasoned steamed cauliflower would taste like), salad bar, and same desserts from breakfast
- Coffee machines on new side were both not working - but by entrance were (which was better than my last pre-renovation visit, where both coffee machines by entrance were out of order, but since those were the only ones, it was drip coffee only)..
- When I entered, app said it was 'almost full' so wasn't sure I'd get in - but was welcomed in on entry - at that point, old area was pretty full, but new side was almost completed empty - it was pretty busy everywhere by time I left a bit after noon. In fact, line at desk to get in at that point, and they were setting up the 'wait list table' downstairs as I left - this is a definite improvement, as in past, I found there was always a wait after, say, 7:30am, but not sure how much of the ability to enter in morning now is a result of expansion vs. new guest policy
- A couple of wierd things I noticed:
- Can't understand, especially given the long hallway between the two sides, why they have such different things at buffet in old vs. new area. I get that the new area doesn't have as big an area, but you'd think it would be a smaller selection of same items. At breakfast, also not sure why there was no hot food on new side - it was just fruit and those tea cakes (which, to be fair, are probably the best breakfast item in the lounge, but I digress).
- In the men's room, there are two stalls, but on completely opposite sides of the bathroom. Now, I imagine there is probably a reason for this - maybe existing infrastructure they had to work around - but I thought there was only one stall...its know the other is there unless you know it is
- probably just bad luck, but coffee machines always seem to be out of order when I'm there - but at least there are now so if one set is down, at least there is another
