Not Sure if Booking is Confirmed
I was in the process of paying for a reward flight and Aeroplan's website delivered an error message that is was unavailable at this time. I refreshed the page and it took me back to the Aeroplan's main website. The points weren't deducted from my account nor were the fees charged to my card and on the My Bookings page I have a message saying
"A problem occurred with your session but a request was sent to create your booking. To verify that your booking is confirmed, please call Air Canada Reservations at 1-888-247-2262, or the Aeroplan Contact Centre at 1-800-361-5373 if this is a flight reward booking. (68081)"
I've tried to call multiple times and I can't get pass entering in my FF #, its says they're experiencing high call volumes and no agents are available and it just hangs up on me. I also can't even cancel the flight because the option to do that is greyed out.
Anybody deal with this before? This flight was somewhat difficult to find and book and I want this done as soon as possible. Especially since I have to book a return flight and it depends on the day of this flight.

If it's not ticketed, I'd expect it to disappear within an hour and return the space to inventory.
And if points were not deducted, I suspect it's not ticketed.

sounds like it is not confirmed whatsoever, and in a manual ticketing queue that will get looked at 'whenever'
I'd keep calling because in the meantime, the fight space you found can be taken by anyone else using aeroplan or other *A programs to redeem.
In which case AC will say you are s... outta luck

Screw it, I just made a new booking a few days later than this one, it's not the greatest option but I want to make sure I get the flight. And so far I've still been unable to talk to an agent nor modify the booking at all, same message appears.

I'd love for someone more experienced to confirm that, if I have a booking reference number, ticket number, and chosen seat for each purchase, the itineraries should be completely/correctly booked, right? I received "your flight reward booking has been made" emails for only two of the four flights/seats booked, which is why I am a little concerned. They all appear in my aeroplan account under my bookings, the correct points have been deducted from my account, and all charges went through with my credit card.
Just looking for some reassurance as this is a first (and likely only) rewards trip for me.

Had the same problem happen to me yesterday, booked reward flight and it got to the payment stage, CC was charged but booking never went through. Had to call it in the next morning, got through but it took them about an hour to finally get the ticket issued. Agent said they've been having 'issues' in the past few days...
