The previous thread is here: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chas...20-2022-a.html
In April 2020 Chase criteria for approving BUSINESS card applications became more stringent. All Chase INK products are business cards. Chase also issues co-branded business cards for United Airlines (2 different biz cards), Southwest Airlines (2 different biz cards), Hyatt and IHG.
For general information about applying for Chase cards, including explanation of the unpublished 5/24 rule, please review the Wikipost of the PERSONAL card thread: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chas...ds-2023-a.html
Anyone can apply for a business card as a sole proprietor. If your business has a registered company name, which Chase can verify, you may use the name to apply. Otherwise, use your legal First and Last name as the business name. Do not add any extra words, do not use a made up name. If Chase cannot verify the name the application will fail.
Useful Chase telephone numbers
(888) 269-8690 - Business Credit Card Application Status Line, automated
(800) 453-9719 Business Credit Card Reconsideration Line with live rep
(800) 453-9719 Credit Reallocation Office (Business cards)
(888) 622-7547 Executive Offices
Twitter: @ChaseSupport
Note: The automated Status Line often shows no record of business card applications. This does NOT mean that there is a problem with your application. You will need to contact Chase to learn the status, or wait for Chase to contact you.
You can use a single Username on chase.com to manage both Business and Personal card accounts, but you will initially need to set them up separately, and then telephonically ask customer service to combine them by merging the Personal account into the Business account. It cannot be done the other way. Once personal account is merged to business account, if all business cards are closed while keeping one (or more) personal cards open, online access to all cards will terminate and a new personal (online) account will need to be created using a different username than previous personal account.
Update: It is possible now to link Business and Personal accounts online. First set them up separately, then log into the Business account and follow this click path: Icon at the top right that looks like a person -> Profile & Settings -> Account Settings -> Manage Linked Accounts. Then look for the "Link relationship" option for the personal accounts. For more information on linking accounts: How to link Chase personal and business accounts?

Thank you for your response! I may have mis-worded my question. I wasn't necessarily asking a velocity question, but more so of if after I've cancelled the card (and I haven't applied for a business card from Chase in a while [more than 90 days]), when would it be appropriate to reapply? Does the 90 days still apply after the cancellation?

Thanks for sharing some data points and experiences about getting more than one Chase Ink Business Cash/Unlimited. I'm considering to applying my 2nd CIC, but I happen to see the following rule before hitting the submit button. Should I be worried about not getting the SUB even if the application got approval?

So you are saying that you can apply for a second of the same card type (CIP, CIU, CIC) with sole prop and SSN, within 24 months, and not have to change the business name or name on the card at all and it won't matter?

The gap between this CIC and the previous one is about 3 years. Both have the same SSN and business name.

P2 applied for the Ink Cash and was denied (applied on 12/07/22, recon'ed on 01/02/23). Until now, the phone status line still says that the app is under review even though I already received the electronic denial letter on 01/03. When will the app be dropped from the system?
P2 is planning to reapply for the card at the end of the month before the promotion ends. Can she reapply if the status phone line still say the the previous app is still under review?
Thanks.

I'm saying exactly that (for Ink cards only). There are no tricks required.

I applied for a United Biz card back in November and a CIC 2 days ago. In both instances, the final page resulted in "We need to review longer," and the phone status line always said "no applications on file" which was incredibly confusing. I only realized today that I received letters stating the following reasons:
United Biz:
Too many credit cards opened in the last two years associated with you
CIC:
Too many credit cards opened in the last two years associated with you
Business structure
Insufficient business deposit relationship with us
I always applied with my sole-prop businesses. I track my cards diligently and as far as I can tell, I'm 4/24. Is this an outlier situation or have I made a mistake somehow? Surely 5/24 rule hasn't changed?

How many Chase business cards did you open in that 24 month period? There is some evidence that when Chase manually reviews applications they may also count their own business cards. Discussion here: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chas...ess-cards.html

Thanks, didn't realize there was an ongoing thread on the potential of policy change. Including Chase Biz cards, I'm 5/24. Unfortunate if policy truly changed Will post DP in other thread.

A legitimate business has no problem spending that amount of money and paying it back. If it doesn't then the business does not need that card.

The question was not if you can make the money or pay ti back but where do you generate the income from as this could have come from MS or the business or a personal savings etc.. You summarize to a general business statement address the question so no need to respond to this comment. Thanks.
