C1 application process (all cards)
Got denied by C1 for this card. This is the third denial (in fact I can't get any C1 card for some reason), I"m thinking the number of active credit cards I have is the reason.

So tempted to get this. P2 got one, but I just don't think we want to be tied to this card for so much spend. It would be hard to get spend for other cards or retention offers. I am going to hope that this initial offer either doesn't actually expire today or that the lesser offer is still decent in another month or two. One cool feature was that in P2's app, you can actually get your card number right away and so start using.

C1 application process (all cards)
Surprised to get an instant approval today. This puts me right at 5/24, with around 15 open accounts and ~820 Credit Score. Only had 1 other Capital One card, Closed in late 2020 after opening it late 2019.
Used my wife's referral link. Haven't had a Card with them in 2 years, but sounds like the rule is if you've "ever" been a cardholder, referrer wont get a bonus. Fingers crossed this rule might have exceptions.
Wife got her card last month and I didn't expect we'd be getting to the spend requirement that quickly, so glad Im able to take advantage too.

C1 application process (all cards)
Can anyone comment on how long it took to see the shipment on its way? My wife applied and was approved instantly over the weekend. I'm pretty sure the page with the approval said it would be received by Wed., somewhere else, including the letter she got that could be downloaded from the application center, and the welcome email said 'business days', which theoretically should be Wed (or maybe Thursday, if you count it from Monday, which is I guess when this would officially start 'moving' so to speak). No sign of anything from Fedex moving yet (we get package notifications).
Curiously, wonder if the issues she had logging into her account might delay things. Short story: she tried to setup with a new password, and kept saying she entered the 'wrong' password. Pretty much looking at it in hindsight, seems like they wanted her to login using her long dormant online account, dating back to Online Savings Accounts from Cap1 that was closed many years ago - probably 5-10. Assumed that online account would have been purged by now.

I don't suppose that there's a way of trading in the approved original offer for the new, revised one, is there?
FWIW, I applied before the deadline and, somewhat to my surprise, I got approved. My credit score is 834, but I'd gotten about four new cards over the past year and have about ten of them in total (none of them Capitol One, though I did have one of their cards about five years ago). Three of those four new cards were business cards, if that might make any difference for Capitol One in its opaque approval process.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but...this seems like a better offer, given the opportunity cost of spending that extra $6,000 for an extra 25K points, as opposed to spending it on another new credit card for different points/miles. YMMV, but given my travel patterns I just don't value the airbnb/vrbo benefit very highly.

C1 application process (all cards)
I was reluctant to do a second app (P2 got one) for our household but pulled the trigger bc I could use P2 referral link for 25k. The $200 airbnb credit will def be used by us, so I figure that makes the extra spend worth it even if I have to pay some fees like for taxes.
