I had stopped by the business lounge outside of A13 and it was the same although senator is much quieter.
Easy entry to both. One person checks your vaccination or test certificate and another scans the boarding pass and has you scan the Luca app QR code.

Since yesterday, food and meals are back at the LH lounges in Germany.
and now, we can purchase a first class lounge pass at FRA too.
It's not the first class terminal, but the first class lounge within the terminal 1.

We tried to access the B Senator lounge today with an antigen test that was taken 47 hours ago. Unfortunately, the test had to be maximum 24 hours old. I was not aware of that, so there was no way we were allowed into the lounge. As far as I understand, all restaurants at FRA had the same 24 hour rule. We ended up getting take-away from McDonald's and eating at a very crowded gate. It was probably the most "crowded" meal I've had since the pandemic started.

I could get a Covid test in Bangkok before I head to the airport and await for the results to be sent to me mid-flight ready for entering the lounge during the transit but Id rather not add on the additional hassle and expense.

This is very annoying. I can do the 72h test to enter the U.K. from Thailand via FRA but by the time I get the result, leave Thailand and arrive in FRA it is already over 24h. I would have to get a second, separate test in addition to the U.K. 72h one just to access the lounges in FRA. Is there any airside testing at FRA??

OP here had the (easier/cheaper) antigen version, which only lasts 24hrs, which is enough for being admitted to some countries - usually those more desperate for tourists

Save pennies, lose lounge entry

This has nothing to do with entry into the country but entry into restaurants. My understanding is that the State of Hesse, where Frankfurt is located, demands a vaccination certificate, a proof of previous infection, or a test which is maximum 24 hours old to enter restaurants. The lounge dragon told me that it's 24 hours for all tests. McDonald's had a sign saying that you need a 24 hour test to eat in. Take-away was still possible. PCR tests would make it even more difficult, as it takes longerr to get results.

Given how widely vaccines are available in these parts of the world, the real answer is "just get vaccinated." Then you don't have to worry about getting tested just to eat food out of a lounge. Easy.
