This is my home airport and I will gladly accept any additional routes with open arms from SNA. But, with the exception of IAD, you can fly to every UA hub from SNA and since SNA isn't a hub, I don't see UA opening any other routes out of SNA. But I would love it just as much as you would!

What about SNA-LAX? Save yourself from that SoCal traffic by doing an ultra-short hop on the Devils Chariot!

don't forget that for the return, BLR itself is at 3000' AMSL (similar to ELP). days range from warm to hot throughout the year. although the BLR departure would probably be during the coolest part of the day.

if the route wasn't so technically challenging, i think UA would be on it at this point.

LOL, But if I enjoy the 45 min-1 hour drive to LAX. Who doesn't love a traffic jam on 91 and 105 on the daily.

Another southern India destination I'd like would be MAA. Transferring from Intl to domestic terminals in DEL or BOM is such a nightmare, I usually fly to SIN, then SQ to MAA.

Yes, UA needs to figure out Southern India sooner than later. The 2nd Air India privatization auction will fail because of the corrosive union culture within AI. Once India realizes AI has no value, it will let its domestic airlines expand globally. This would effectively euthanize AI and result in several point-to-point flights to/from India. UA needs to figure things out before some of the well-run Indian Airlines become formidable competitors.

United pulls out of certain routes because AC still flies them. EWR for example. YOW has over 5 million travelers so its not a super small station. Star Alliance funnels everything via YYZ. At one point lets say 5-6 years ago there was about 7 flights to ORD a day. Now there is none cause United knows AC will pick up the slack and just send people via YYZ.
It sucks that YOW is so Star Alliance dependent. Would be nice if Westjet joined SkyTeam and finished the JV with Delta. I think if the MAX issues ever get solved YOW could get some more service to Europe

Signed from a guy in YOW looking for more options

What you describe is illegal. UA would need to be able to show an independent justification. They can drop the route because it's unprofitable, or because another route is more profitable and they need the planes or crews; they can't drop the route because it's helps AC.

In Canada airlines can pretty much do whatever they want. The head lawyer for the body that "polices" airlines , his partner is on the airlines payroll.

It's still illegal in the US without anti-trust immunity.

We already have LH to FRA, Edelweiss to ZRH and BA/Norwegian to Gatwick. Delta flies seasonal to AMS.

Actually, anywhere in Europe would be great.

There is a TATL JV with AC, LH and UA.

I think you are more likely to get EI to start this route instead of UA.
