Yes, UA needs to figure out Southern India sooner than later. The 2nd Air India privatization auction will fail because of the corrosive union culture within AI. Once India realizes AI has no value, it will let its domestic airlines expand globally. This would effectively euthanize AI and result in several point-to-point flights to/from India. UA needs to figure things out before some of the well-run Indian Airlines become formidable competitors.
