So how much for those rides? 40SGD each way in average? I really cant see how 2hrs extra commute and a hotel at maybe half the price might be worth that..

For business I often booked the Park Regis in SG. Got an all incl rate at 189 SGD. Incl breakfast. I rate the Park Regis higher than the DT JB.

No- RM 15 from JB and SGD 15 from Singapore. Unfortunately the 189++ rate is never available during major events/conventions/exhibitions in Singapore. The real rate is closer to 300++. Its even worth to fly back to KL, stay at sama sama and back again the next morning in some instances. Also DT JB is 10k points vs RM 600 you mentioned above.

I didnt mentioned RM600 (someone else?) - I usually book it for below 300

Anyway I dropped the DT and going with the Renaissance next week. Wish me luck. If anyone is in JB drop me a message for a small meetup (also can in Singapore)

During high price season like F1 it obviously makes sense. I stayed at some "properties" during those times that indeed were borderline (funnily enough one with a top breakfast)

Those 15 RM/$ are for pure causeway/to MRT crossing?

SGD 189 at Park Regis~ RM 600 vs DT 10k points.
RM 15 is from Larkin Taxi stand to the JB- SG taxi stand in Queen street Bugis in a shared Taxi! You can try to prebook Grab Hitch which is RM 20++.

I think 10k is a fair value of the HGI SG, it doesnt offer any benefits to D or G! Unreal to have to pay 20k for a HGI in Asia.

Let's discuss this in the HGI SG thread. Cheers.

noticed the executive lounge evening cocktail has improved after the new GM took over. and also heard feedback that its harder to get upgrades for G, but the property has been very kind to upgrade me to suite on the day itself.

Evening drinks and eats would leave the DT KL for dead! Very nice Chilean Cab Sav, and the food is delicious, staff put love into what they do here and it shows.
