Luxury Hotel in Knightsbridge, London

I have stayted at almost every Luxury Hotel in the Knightsbrideg area - the Lanesborough, Sheraton Park Tower, the Carleton Tower, and the Dorchester. Does anyone have any other suggestions in the area?

I would classify the Dorchester as Park Lane/Mayfair rather than Knightsbridge. What about the Mandarin Oriental? I believe the Halkin is also nearby. The MO gets fairly consistent reviews -- if you perform a search in this forum I am sure you will find plenty of interesting information.

Not sure if you're interested in only large hotels with lots of amenities. If small hotels are of interest I suggest you take a look at the Beaufort Hotel:

very comfortable & chic with lots of complimentary inclusions.

Try and get room 521 it's got the best balcony in the whole place.

I have a suggestion - go to Le Meridien Piccadilly. Although it's not in the Knightsbridge area and it's right on Piccadilly in Mayfair, a few minutes walk from the Fortnum & Mason, towards Piccadilly Circus. It has by far the most amenities compared to all the hotels in London I've stayed - and I have seen several websites refer it as a five-star-plus hotel. One downside is that parking's very difficult in the area.

I agree, MO is the next one to try. Room 906 has great views and a delightful meal is around the corner at Signor Sassi, Italian Rest. at 14 Knightsbridge Green. Enjoy

For the price (I generally pay <250 quid) in the area, this hotel is one of the best values going. Recent renovations (primarily to public areas) should now be complete.

More South Kensington but near Knightsbridge, what about The Pelham?

I do like Le Meridien's proximity to all the shops in Regent Street and Piccadilly. There weren't any renovations when I went up there a couple months ago, but the health club is still closed. I called them yesterday, in fact, and the nice lady said that it's more likely to remain closed for the remainder of the year. Same thing goes for the swimming pool.

I thought it was a very good value and I paid 110 which wasn't too bad. It was also brought to my attention Le Meridien now has high speed internet in all the rooms. I remember the old days when I had to use the modem to dial into AOL and incur 4 hook-up fees!

The MO for me, the Park Suite or the Knightsbridge Turret Suites are the best, The Berkeley is also very good and you now have Ptrus, Marcus Wareings restaurant in the building and the Boxwood Cafe, both excellent.

Also worth a look is The Capital, in Basil street, the Harrods end, also with an excellent restaurant.

I walked by the Pelham a couple of weeks ago and they were doing renovation work - as is half of London.
