The press release -- Amanat's driven that -- just confirms that Amanat still has Zecha on his side and they are together in being against Doronin. Amanat has a history of stalling in ways that Doronin doesn't, but the litigation is by no means over from either side.

Dear All,

I am reaching out to you in light of yesterday’s email communication sent from Lana. Further to this, I wanted to communicate the response from Mr. Vladislav Doronin, who as you know, is our majority shareholder with a 65% stake.

DORONIN UNIMPRESSED WITH MANAGEMENT CHANGES ANNOUNCED BY PEAK HOTELS & RESORTS

Peak Hotels & Resorts Ltd (PHRL), a company currently in provisional liquidation, announced a change to its board by appointing a former Aman Group sales executive, Carolyn Turnbull, as a director. The announcement attempted to suggest that as she would also be representing PHRL interests on the Board of Peak Hotels Resorts Group Ltd and Mr Amanat (the owner of PHRL) would have 50% voting control of Aman Resorts which is totally inaccurate.

Vladislav Doronin, the majority shareholder of the Aman Group explained that the business is currently being run by the four directors, who all vote independently when he said, “For PHRL to say that they have 50% voting control is entirely misleading and incorrect as all fours Directors in the Aman Group should vote in accordance with their own business judgement, in the best interest of the Group, and in subject to the terms of joint venture Shareholder’s agreement.”

The voting rights on the Aman board break down as follows. Tarek Investments Limited – Mr Doronin’s vehicle – has the right to appoint two directors to the board of the JVC who each have a vote. Another board seat belongs to Mr Eliasch. The remaining one vote is directed by Mr Amanat’s company making a total of four votes.

The statement also suggested that Ms Turnbull would take responsibility for the Aman brand on behalf of PHRL. This is again entirely wrong as the Aman brand and ethos is being successfully enhanced by a newly appointed highly experienced luxury lifestyle team. This team answers to the CEO and the board of Directors.

Doronin said, “We have an outstanding team with a strong vision that will deliver the excellence demanded from the Aman brand by the loyal clients. We can only conclude from this Mr Amanat has had to replace himself on the board due to being an undischarged bankrupt for the past 10 years. Quite what a former employee, who’s services were not required can add to this board is unknown.”

Doronin added that, “Aman Group looks forward to the next steps in the Aman brand journey with exciting urbanisation which will be announced very soon”.

Thank you

Below link is a statement from Amanat

Kai878,

I am wondering if you are communicating here because you are connected with management or one of the investment groups in some way? It's OK if you are but typically FT would like representatives to be noted as such. Please contact the mods by post, PM, or by clicking on the "report" button (the triangle with the ! in it) and letting us know.

Thanks,

At least some connected on this matter are connected but not in the way that would "green" the FTers as company representatives -- especially not at a time when the mentioned public figures or their related entities are unlikely to be all on the same page and in agreement. Also, even pursuing the process may put at least one such person in the firing line (and may expedite a move to a sort of unemployment line).

This 'highly experienced luxury lifestyle team' appears, allegedly, to consist of a bunch of consultants - most of whom had barely heard of Aman before.

Aman, allegedly, is awash with 'consultants' hired by Mr D. So that's alright then, isn't it. They are bound to be able to surpass the octogenarian efforts of AZ. Surely?

My obligation as moderator is to the site and its members as a whole, and only peripherally to the involved parties. If a member has a connection to one of those parties, whether or not their handle is turned green, it is reasonable to ask them to make that affiliation clear.

That being said, I ask everyone now to return to the subject of the thread.

Yes, I know. Surprising! 84 rooms and suites, an internal garden and a large indoor pool and spa. In the lobby there is a massive lantern - 40 metres by 11, which rises 6 floors through the heart of the building.

Interestingly, contrary to past F&B dictums, The Restaurant by Aman is aiming at gastronomic Fine Dining, with Mediterranean and Japanese dishes. There is also a walk-in wine cellar.

Amanzoe is now offering four Private Beach Club Cabanas.
Situated directly on the coast, the spacious air-conditioned Cabanas provide all the comforts of a Guest Pavilion, as well as a terrace, an almost 200-square-metre garden and a private swimming pool overlooking the sea.
Amanzoe guests can reserve a Cabana and enjoy a day on the beach, swimming in the crystal clear sea, discovering pristine bays and beaches by canoe, and sunbathing in complete privacy.
http://www.amanresorts.com/amanzoe/thedetails.aspx
Guests can dine at the Beach Club restaurant or in the privacy of the Cabana and its extensive grounds. Massages accompanied by the sound of the sea are also an option.

Beach Club is operational May through October

bringing the total available rooms at Amanzoe, including the current thirty eight hotel pavilions, and the upcoming four beach front rooms, to eighty one rooms for the 2015 season
so they are rooms, but not booking overnights
as another poster had mentioned
