So should I (and I guess Chavala) risk it?
We have to get from Terminal 7 to terminal 8 after clearing immigration and customs without GE?
The next flight isn't until 3:50pm so its worth the risk ... except that there are three of us and the chance of three spots being on that later flight if we miss the connection is small.
Cheers.

So I found an agent that will ticket the 70 minute connection @ LAX departing LAX->SMF at 8am.
So should I (and I guess Chavala) risk it?

I would consider risking it *IF* you do not have any discussion about the illegal connection in the PNR with the agent. That way if you misconnect, you can play dumb and get rebooked on OAL if needed.
If you misconnect to the United flight, there are two (2) DL LAX-SMF flights that go before the next UA flight, so I wouldn't worry. Just ask for one of those instead.
Or if you want more miles, have them book you on LAX-SFO-SMF, which is still faster than waiting for the next LAX-SMF on UA.
Depart: MEL Time: 14h 35m
Arrive: LAX, Terminal TOM BRADLEY INTL TERM Miles: 7944

Hmmm. But as a lowly Gold, United's under no obligation to put me on those flights are they? Or are you saying if I miss the connection I point out they booked an illegal connection for me.
The two people traveling with me will be on my award tickets so "inherit" my status I take it.

The Premier line today is swamped, so I just want to make the changes and be done with it!
Thanks.
