A new year starts, and for ease of use, we'll start a new thread in order to keep it from getting too overwhelming.
For the previous incarnation, please see here.
Also, please keep this thread limited to actual reports about the specific on-board meals you were offered on an Alaska Airlines flight. Discussion beyond a report of a specific meal belongs over in the companion thread to this one.
If you wish to reply to a particular post here, please click the "Quote" button and then copy the resulting text that appears, go over to the above-mentioned thread, and paste it into the reply box in that thread, and then you may begin composing your reply below the copied text.
The moderators will attempt to perform regular maintenance on this thread and move discussion posts over to the other thread; if you notice a post that doesn't contain a report about a specific meal on an Alaska Airlines flight, you can help us out by clicking the "Alert A Moderator To This Post" triangle and letting us know that a bit of housekeeping needs to be done. (Only one report for a series of posts is necessary--you don't need to report each post.)

PDX-ANC #137 included a large piece of chicken thigh and leg (boneless) & mashed potatoes with a side of green beans and a small salad with creamy Italian vinaigrette and a piece of chocolate.
Both tasty & filling without AS breaking the bank on food costs.

As an addendum to my post #100, here is a picture of the other menu item:
Date of flight: May 2nd
Route flown: SAN-BOS
Class of service: First
Length of flight: Five hours and fifteen minutes
Meal served: Luncheon
Entre Choice: Gemelli Ricotta with Tomato Herb Sauce
Comments: I really enjoyed this dish. The pasta was accented by a mild sauce with tomatoes and diced peppers. I only wish it had included a packet of Parmesan Cheese. The Zucchini Gratin was a delicious accompaniment.

So far this month in First Class I've had two very mediocre ravioli style lunches/dinners. Tonight's dinner was a cheese ravioli thing. I ate most of it, but I told the FA that I'd pay for a fruit and cheese platter.
Do I have to eat this for the entire month? I understand no one is forcing me...I'm just curious if there is anything else served this month? I sure hope so!
Coach has a ham and brie sandwich.
Does anyone know what is for breakfast? I fly from SEA to PHX on Wednesday and I am taking the morning flight.
While I'm talking about food, can someone tell AS that they should allow their frequent fliers to get the food entries for free like you can on American Airlines????

Alaska believes they offer a superior product and value compared to the competition with regards to their food for purchase. Subsequently, management does not feel the need to discount BOB or provide it gratis to elites.
They know. They just don't care to (or need to) make changes to the program.

5 June OAK/SEA - A "chicken waldorf" salad. A dollop of gloop with 6 leaves of greens on the side (ok, maybe up to 10). I've spared you a picture.
They shouldn't have. Really, they shouldn't have.

Both directions, served with "Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing," which is exactly what mayonnaisey-gloop needs.

I think I had this on the 1115a PHX-SEA flight on 6/3. The FA never really explained what we were eating. I'm not sure why it was served with raspberry vinaigrette either.
On the other hand, the lemon drop chocolate was good and there was a plentiful supply in the galley.

Just had that SW chicken salad with the rasp vinaigrette SEA-LAS.
Return LAS-PHX 9:50 am was a salami and provolone plate with crackers, some olives, a cherry tomato and a pepperoncini.

Sat 8 Jun, some sort of similar thing on 563 LAX-PDX: scrambled eggs and a thin slice of something that looked like Canadian bacon on top of a thin slice of bready substance that was impossible to cut through (although it actually tasted reasonably good) ... entree shared the plate with several slices of pineapple and pale cantaloupe, fortunately there was one strawberry to provide a touch of color in the otherwise very monochromatic yellowish presentation

SAN-PDX last week lunch had the Southwest Chicken Salad. I asked for the fruit and cheese plate and said I'd be willing to pay--However, it was provided gratis--nice gesture.

Sea-San (6/7-6/9). Both evening flights, with a spring salad and chicken satay. FA down to SAN was smart enough to inquire about the chicken before serving, as there were some vegans and vegetarians inboard. Not so on the return trip, where she had to take some back when she delivered as is.
