When I entered the SC, I remarked about my experience to the dragon when she asked something like how my trip was so far. The
dragon then told me that nonrevs have priority. Huh?
I then asked a SC agent upstairs at the rebooking desk. He told me that the statement about nonrevs having priority was wrong, even if they were returning from overseas.

Agent #1's response could also have been a misunderstanding... though the DRAGON might have been responding again based on the interaction with the OP. Maybe the DRAGON wanted the OP to visit the upstairs agents so that they could do their primary job of checking guests into the club?

Vuelos, I see no indication from the OP as to demeanor at all, but having just shared drinks with the OP just a day ago, I can assure you MSPeconomist is quite pleasant.
Also, strictly by the rules, no SDC on tickets that contain any Intl segments, though after all Intl legs are flown is seemingly an uncodified exception. It's possible this this was the motivation of the first agent encountered.

Not sure why Vuelos seems to be hating so hard on MSPeconomist. She has been helpful to many on this forum IME and has generally been quite respectful.

As segments are flown, they automatically get deleted from PNRs. Once all international segments no longer appear on a PNR and only domestic segments remain, SDC naturally works just fine.
If you think like a computer, it makes perfect sense.

Seems fairly likely that the purser was first through customs and approached the counter. If the sky priority agent was free then she was probably called over. They seem to do this all the time with folks in the econ line if things are slow. At that point I don't think anyone stands aside if a sky priority person shows up in line.
Now the statement about the NRSA's having priority in a premium line is laughable. What they did or didn't do to get the OP on the earlier flight IDK...

I'm sure the OP's lovely demeanor could not possibly have related to the level of service she did (or didn't) receive.
One agent said they NRSApriority. The other said they did not. I would tend to believe agent #2

I don't really see a problem with MSPEconomist's word choice here. She doesn't say anything nasty about the agent; in fact, she infers that the agent is polite and courteous because he/she asked how her trip was. People use the term "dragon" just as much as they use the word "kettle." Neither is inherently derogatory - it's just the idea that a "dragon" guards a "castle," whether that castle is a Sky Club or the sterile area past the TSA checkpoint.

I also don't like reading DRAGON, KETTLE, DELTA.DUMB... but that's par for the course on FT these days.

Just curious why you think it was wrong for the agent to reveal that there was space available on the flight. Delta is in the business of transporting paying customers, not providing free transportation for employees and their friends/family.

It is supposed to be internal information, not given out to customers or those outside of the company. That is the policy.
