A few questions...
1. Is there any list of the most expensive hotels in USA? Many search only gave me lists of the most expensive suites which is useless.
2. Is there any way to get a discounted rate in FS, Aman, MO, R&C or St. Regis
3. Is there any truly fantastic hotels on Priceline's name your own price?
I hope you can help me with these questions, many thanks in advance!

1. This would be a difficult list to compile as there are a lot of factors related to inclusions. For example, a property in Africa may sound extremely pricey until you realize it includes 3 full meals, top shelf alcohol, snacks, and 2 safaris each day. I suppose one could compare the base rates of hotels that typically include nothing but even that gets murky when you consider some properties are renting out hotel rooms while others are renting out villas. Dunno. Maybe someone else will have seen something like this but I don't think there's any way to make it accurate.
2. Each hotel group is different. Which one are you interested in and we'll tell you what we know.
3. Not that I've seen.

This one I can answer. The Amans typically don't offer discounts except for a few like Amanpulo that offer discounts to Filipinos to encourage people in their own country to take advantage of the resort.
Other guests pay a full rate but the Aman packages can be an incredibly good value when they start throwing in things like meals, activities, upgrades, etc. Work with a Virtuoso agent and you can sometimes get more thrown in.

As for the Filipino rate at Pulo, they have to be a current resident of the Philippines. I met someone who did this about 5 years ago and while I don't remember the number, the rate difference at the time was pretty big.

I don't recall getting any FS discounts in the past. If I did, it certainly wasn't large enough to be memorable. Maybe others will chime in. There is always the possibility of getting stuff thrown in via Virtouso or FSPP.

.Anyone can tell me why it's all about Aman, MO and FS? Isn't there any independent hotel experience at same level?
