but that is not an accurate representation of the article... there is absolutely no discussion of source, and i pointed out an inconsistency in the article between "may" and "planning" ... here are mentions of "officials" >

again, why do DLF/ITC talks have to be about aman?

and who cares about speculation by random industry people?

wow, pure fiction now? and thats a part of their "buy" decision?

bad news though, that investors may have reacted positively to news of aman exit. (not sure about other simultaneous news or recent fluctuations)
Very interesting, Kage! Let's hope it is just a rumour. I heard it from a friend in India who is normally very reliable, but you never know...

Is the Amangiri a Virtuoso or FHR property? Might want to check it out this fall.

Thanks for the info.

I noticed the huge increase in rates from previous years. We have one couple so far, don't really want to fight who gets the master cabin...
July and August 2010 are fully booked already so I am not sure whether they will offer special rates (I am not good at negotiating rates anyway)

There is a small article about Amangiri on the November issue of Wallpaper magazine. The pool looks sexy...

Just twenty years ago, this 1,000-acre luxury resort and residential location was approved by Spring Creek Ranch as the only such site above Jackson Hole's valley floor. The owners then lobbied world-class Amanresorts for nearly a decade prior to joining with Dutch-Indonesian tycoon, Adrian Zecha, as the perfect partner to fully appreciate and carefully develop this remote and spectacular location.
if thats accurate.

Adrian Zecha is NOT Dutch-Indonesian. He is Czech-Indonesian! If they got that wrong, then.....

Isn't he responsible for Monocle magazine? He still shows up all over the place. Agree about using ones own judgment - see my comment above re Wallpaper reviews!

I apologize if this has been discussed before, but can someone please recommend the best value room type to book at Aman Beijing?
Any special arranged activity that's a must-do there?
Thanks in advance
