NWA Domestic Upgrade Issue

All : I am FB Gold (Elite Plus) and i never get upgraded in the NWA flights...I travel frequently to LAX and SEA and everytime i hear they say the system says you are not eligible...

I went and changed my home address to India and kept the business address to USA and still no luck...

Any ideas ??

Upgrades work just fine, just got upgraded 6 days out. 100% UGs in the past 18 months.
Change everything to outside the US and then redo all the FQTV info in the NW PNRs to refresh the system.
SEA/LAX is tough, so as a gold you are probably looking at 20-60% UG rate depending on time/day.

hm, I have a similar problem.... Flight MSP-SLC on Monday evening (NW 645), expertflyer says R8, F9, P9, but I still didn't get upgraded yet... I don't have a US adress on my FB account and nwa.com correctly recognizes my status as "AF/KL - Flying Blue 201xxxxxxx Gold/SkyTeam Elite Plus "

Any idea what's wrong?

hm, no upgrade yet... my call with NWA didn't bring up anything strange in the PNR, but I had them change the FF number from the AF to the KL prefix - maybe that helps.

nope, ask them to remove it and then re-enter it yourself.

hm, for whatever reason it worked tonight.

If someone else encounters a similar problem, I did three things yesterday:
- called NWA and had them change the AF prefix of the FB account number to a KL one
- reconfirmed the reservation online
- entered my contact and immigration details

One of those things (or a combination thereof) seems to have done the trick.

If for some reason the status is not reflected properly, simply make sure it pulls data again which can be most easily done by removing the info and then re-entering it.

Upgrades worked fine for me and a friend today. Booked a Delta codeshare NW-operated flight, got the upgrade about 1 minute after I booked (flight 3 days out).

FB Status on NWA

Hi,

I used to face the same problem and the following steps worked in my case:

1. Log in to your reservation at NWA.com using the NW PNR
2. Replace your Flying Blue FF information with that of some other partner airline program, I replaced it with my FFP # on Jet Airways
3. Go Back to My Reservations on NWA.com, log in using the PNR, and change your FFP info. again to your Flying Blue FF number.

It should recognize your FB elite status now.

I'm a US resident and won't change my address for now. I flew twice on NWA recently, my elite status was recognized and my friend and I got nice front row seats in Y... but no upgrade, certainly not in advance but not at the gate either (and there were other people on the upgrade list on the screen at the gate).

I'm flying on a NWA reservation but an DL operated flight from DCA to JFK next week as a non-US FB Plat am I eligible for an upgrade (since it's not technically an NWA flight)?

Also how can you tell when you check your reservation status online if you've been upgraded or not?
