Issues Getting LX Seats Using Aeroplan?
LX is the only carrier that gives me issues when booking using Aeroplan. More often than not, if EF or M&M is showing O2, Aeroplan shows only O1. Today, looking for ORD-ZRH nonstop in August, EF shows X9I9O2, M&M shows I4+, Aeroplan shows X0I0O0.
Is this intentional on Aeroplan's part? Filtering a la United? Or is it just a technical error that can somehow be corrected if referred to the correct people?

I know there is a problem showing availability with the ANA tool on LX. I've only ever tried to redeem once on LX and had no problem, but it is was for a 1 hour flight in J sodoubt there was much demand.

ExpertFlyer shows LX award availability but don't know if it's the same as what AP would let you book.

Come on folks, read the first post. It is clear the OP knows you can check LX XIO space on EF. What is being asked is if anyone has noticed that what EF shows and what Aeroplan has available differ on a consistent basis? Are Aeroplan filtering LX availability?
All I can add from my own observations is that LX applies its sometimes very strict married segment logic to awards also. So are you looking sector by sector on EF and asking Aeroplan from origin to destination? Could this be an issue if you have multiple LX sectors?

Yes, I did read the first post. The point being that with certain data bases (ie KVS/ANA) not having access to LX awards - the point of cross referencing EF and M and M listing of award availability with Aeroplan's which are not equivalent - one can not triple check with those KVS/ANA data bases to see which was is correct, or not. As an extension of your statement, does Aeroplan filter Starnet's listing of Star Alliance award availability (beyond LX's), just as UA's Mileage Plus program does for certain airlines?
The question is how does EF vs M and M vs Aeroplan vs KVS/ANA compare in terms of listed award availability on LH/OS or other European airlines - do the issues of the OP applies for award availability on these other European airlines?

oh come on people! is it too hard to type a couple extra characters on the keyboard so someone other than a flyertalk nerd can understand you?
It's not like I'm not trying here. I looked up each one of the acronyms in the original post in the flyer talk glossary, and almost none of them exist there. If you're going to show how smart you are that you can talk in code, at least give us amatuers a fighting chance by uploading the acronyms to the glossary!
M&M, EF, I4+??? and for crying out loud, X9I9O2 !!!??
I'm begging you, give me a freaking chance here!

Don't worry. Just keep reading the posts and you'll pick up on the lingo. It took me a while too but I (almost) speak fluent FT now.
