No, I always call Aeroplan, and have consistently had this problem.
Sorry cannot help -- wanted to make sure you were calling AE as that is unfortunately the only accurate measure.
I know there is a problem showing availability with the ANA tool on LX. I've only ever tried to redeem once on LX and had no problem, but it is was for a 1 hour flight in J sodoubt there was much demand.
